About Law Firm
My name is Boyd W. Shepherd, D.D.S., J.D., and I am a 1988 graduate of the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston and a 1992 graduate of South Texas College of Law. Although I no longer practice dentistry, I have maintained my Texas dental license since licensure in 1988. An ADA and Texas Dental Association member, I am also a member of the Greater Houston Dental Society, for which I served 8 years as legal counsel to its Board of Directors.
Since 1994, I have developed a specialized practice of providing legal services and counsel to Texas dentists on a wide range of legal issues and needs, including Texas Dental Law, TSBDE issues & licensure, dental practice transitions, employment law, commercial lease review and negotiation, risk management, contracts & business transactions, and other general legal services including criminal law, family law, wills & probate, and general civil litigation. I have vast experience from state board representation at each and every level of the process, litigation, and from day-to-day counsel and guidance to dentists across the state of Texas on issues related to their business operations, Board rule compliance, employees, and patients.

Flat fees will be quoted at the time of discussion/consultation of case with potential client. Flat fees are one-time and all inclusive for the legal work described and agreed upon with Client. Expenses are separate, and always quoted in advance, if applicable.
