I was assigned Elizabeth dealing with charges for the first time. Nervous, and concerned I had a lot of questions about what was going on and what can happen. She was a little rude started to talk over me, was condescending, and even went as far as belittling me..while correcting me in legal terms i didn’t know . Elizabeth stated to me that “I think I run the show” all because I stated that “we shoukd start over” as she started to be rude. I did not want to co tinge the meeting where she would continue to be condescending and talk down on me. Yes you ate a lawyer you deal with many different types of people you don’t gain middle ground by being rude. She decided no to respresent me 8 days before my case leaving me hanging all because of her approach and tone was corrected and question by the client. You should try to gain trust with you clients weather they are assigned or not. Very unprofessional and distateful to say the least. I will def follow up appropriately with the Bar. Very sad this is the type of ph pic defenders people are being assigned. I can understand working for the govt being OVERWORKED and UNDERPAID. But we should not take it out on our clients. I do hope you have a better understanding after this experience Elizabeth and maybe you won’t. Please go to a private practice where you can have more control over clients received and don’t fail someone due to cultural competency or simply, a little understanding. This has been my worse experience with a lawyer and i haven’t had many.

Brenda is so unprofessional and disrespectful. Not helpful to the public.
