Chico’s does not honor its expedited shipping timeframe and will not refund the shipping fee. I ordered 3 items. One arrived on time. Four days later one has not even shipped out, and the other is still in transit. Customer service claims expedited shipping only applies to the amount of time after a product leaves their store. Chico’s, Update your website so people don’t waste money on expedited shipping fees that you refuse to refund. Their solution? Chico’s offered a $15 credit for my next order. Seriously? Why would I do more business with a company that doesn’t honor its published shipping standards.
I placed an order for a maxi dress that was shown as a "new arrival". I wanted it to wear to my son's wedding and so I then bought matching accessories and shoes. My order has not arrived and when I called Chico's they said it is on back order for another month because it's not something that has arrived to their store yet. All they can offer is to cancel the order which isn't any consolation and it will be too late for the wedding! When I ordered the dress there was no indication it would be on back order and it said "new arrival". How can they advertise something for sale as a new arrival and they don't even have it in stock yet? This is false advertising and I won't shop with them again.
Purchased a pair of jeans in Sept.in Clearwater using a Visa Gift Card. Did not wear jeans until Dec. Discovered a defect in material and returned to Chico's in Pensacola (Visiting over holidays). Clerk told me it would be an even exchange and I was happy with that. The jeans were to be sent to my home address FedEx. Did not receive jeans and called 888 number on my receipt. Told they could not get jeans. They had no record of my purchase and I no longer had Visa Gift card as all monies were used. I have called twice (Atlanta) and was on phone at least 1/2 hour and put on hold numerous times. Told I would be notified that they could not get jeans and get refund. Spoke to Christine today 1/16 and it took her 1/2 hour to tell me the order was not processed. I would have kept the defective jeans if I had known that the customer has to do all the work to get refund. Who knew! Will not deal with Chico's again. What a mess.
I am so disappointed with Chico's today. I was a very loyal customer but now??? I called to return a sweater but found that they only had one in the size I needed. The customer rep and I was concerned that my sweater would not get back before the one that I needed was sold. So I suggested that I order and pay for the sweater and then when I received the new one one send the other one back. She said that would be fine. However today when I called to send the sweater back they tell me it is past the time limit and I can not send it back. I would have sent it back but that is not the plan that the rep and I worked out. They should honor their word.
Stay away from gift cards through Cashstar as well as Chico's. Bought my wife a $500 gift card for Chico's through Cashstar (only option if bought online). My wife went to use it for the first time and the balance was $3.83. We called Chico's and Cashstar. They said an online order was placed and shipped to an address that was not ours. They have the name, phone number, and email of the person who fraudulently placed an order against our gift card. We asked to speak with their lost prevention people and were refused. Neither company will give us the order information nor refund our money. They suggested we call the police, but also told us that they would not give the order information to the police either. Wished I had read reviews of Chico's and Cashstar before I purchased the gift card. They are both worthless. Will never use Cashstar again nor will my wife ever shop at Chico's again. They could not care less about their customers. We have contacted the police and they have assigned a detective. They were somewhat surprised that we were told they would not turn over information to the police. The detective said they had ways of getting it if necessary.
