I would like to apologize for my previous review. It was very negative. I'm willing to wait and see before voicing my opinion. I hope to have a Wonderful review when this is over.

Looks like I will be filing a complaint the the State Board in regards to Mr. Holts actions or lack there of. Went to him for a divorce that should have been done as neither party contested. Charged me and happily took the money.went to court 2 times. Paperwork was changed so 2 months later I receive paperwork signed by my ex full of errors and unprofessional for an attorney. Reached out to Mr. Holt and surprise no contact. So I still don't have my divorce but he has my money. Not returning emails again. Do NOT use this firm!!

I need to make a complete and sincere retraction and amends to Chris Holt, the honest and forthright man and attorney, for the totally unfair and capricious Facebook and Google reviews I wrote about my experience as being a client of Chris Holt. I posted a foolish, ignorant and completely inaccurate review on FB and Google. Moreover, my FB and Google reviews of Chris were quite intolerant, immature, impulsive, wrongheaded and hyper-sensitive. We met today to review my case and talk honestly about those unfair and callous FB and Google reviews of mine. Chris is as fine of a man and an attorney as I have ever met. He was very honest and forthright in his explanation of how I hurt him--- in all respects--- with my deplorable and tacky reviews. I am a recovering alcoholic with 35 plus years of continuous sobriety. I need to act the part! Bill Wilson, co- founder of Alcoholics Anonymous, AA, that I have been going to AA everyday for my 35 plus years of sobriety, warns us recovering alcoholics about the need for restraint of " tongue and pen." I showed NO restraint of my own pin in my thoughtless and loathsome reviews of Chris Holt. I was mindlessly, inconsiderately, and immaturely upset over Chris Holt taken more than 24 hours to return my calls last week. I refused to be fair and logical about Chris having a busy week and that this was the reason for the delay. How inconsiderate and stupid of me! I hope Chris will accept my heartfelt and sincere amends for my most egregious FB and Google reviews. I will obviously accept if Chris does not accept my amends. He obviously and fairly has the right. I can only pray that he does.

Very similar to the other reviews. Chris Holt was quick to take a very inflated retainer and produce ZERO results except limited, temporary orders with the promise of a day in court before a judge. Without any notification or discussion with his client, Chris agreed to continue my husband's case at the other party's request for over 3 years while his ex-wife withheld his children. This did not come to light until a copy of the case file was requested. Chris did absolutely nothing to bring his case before a judge. He refused to file contempt. He eventually stopped answering my calls. Chris took $3750 and left my husband in the same position for 3 years, without his children. DO YOUR RESEARCH. CHRIS HAS PREVIOUSLY BEEN DISBARRED. GOOGLE "Petition of Christopher G. Holt for Reinstatement to the Practice of Law". Here are some highlights from the publicly posted petition- Christopher G. Holt was DISBARRED from the practice of law in the State of Mississippi by a complaint tribunal in April 2003. Further, Holt provides substantial information about his struggle with ALCOHOLISM, not in an effort to excuse his conduct, but rather as a means of explaining the circumstances surrounding his transgressions. Holt candidly admitted his failure to comply with the tribunal’s order to notify clients and courts of his disbarment and, although an egregious omission at the time, is not difficult to understand in the light of Holt’s difficult struggle with alcohol during that period of his life. Holt, in his petition for reinstatement, thoroughly discusses his battle with alcoholism and the measures he has taken to remain a sober, productive member of society.
