Paid Scott $1500 to represent my sister in an emergency custody hearing and he was horrible. He couldn’t care any less about my sister’s situation. He didn’t advocate for my sister’s needs at all. Please avoid this man at all cost. Even my sister’s ex made fun of her for hiring this careless man as her lawyer and informed her that Scott is also racist. This entire ordeal was heartbreaking and disappointing and I would highly recommend you consider another lawyer.

Run! Run He will take your money and not provide service. SCAM! never signed a contract. He Left me in court alone! and don’t want to give me my money back! he’s racist!, never answers his phone.I can go on and on. please take your money somewhere else! He had fake reviews on his page!

I contacted this lawyer for a custody case and seeing that he has a high rating I was interested in him representing me. Met with Scott Cohen 2 months before my hearing. He assured me that what I was requesting was possible. I contacted him two days before my court date and he reassured me that it was a go. He informed me that he would speak with other party to come to some agreement. The day of the court hearing he arrives and then hits me with "so what are u asking for again". Moments later he speaks with the other party without leaving anytime to brief me whatsoever. Get into the hearing room and I felt like he was advocating for the other party and totally disregarded anything I requested. He charged me $1500 for something I should have and could have done for myself. The other thing was two days prior to court he acted as if he remembered my case along with my request to show up and act like he didn't know anything thay was going on. One thing I will say is he inspired me to look into becoming a lawyer because that was the quickest 1500 dollars he made gas lighting a client. If you are a female stick to a female lawyer cause I felt outnumbered and not represented fairly by this lawyer. And the kicker, wrapping the hearing up he leans over and whispers" thank u for fulfilling your payment, I appreciate it" I wanted to say " I bet you do".

i hired mr scott cohen to represent me in family court for a child custody/visitation hearing, i explained my case to him thoroughly before the court hearing, he assured me that everything will go well as he has years of experience with making sure fathers get their rights to visit their children when the mother is intentionally withholding the child from the father, i paid mr cohen $1000 in attorney fees and $110 in family court fees to obtain a custody hearing in family court, he filed the paperwork with the court, obtained the court date and mailed it to me, fast forward to the actual day of the hearing which was scheduled to begin at 9:00am mr cohen was a no call/no show to the hearing which i paid him $1000 to show up and defend me for, i stayed in court until 10:30am and represented myself although i paid an attorney $1000 to show up and do the work, i have contacted the attorney a day later to explain the circumstances of his no call/no show only for him to falsely claim he had an EMERGENCY dental appointment and that it was my job as his client to remind him he had to show up at this hearing, NO SIR as my paid attorney it's your job to maintain accurate records of the dates and times you are scheduled to show up in courts to represent your clients, i strongly recommend you take your hard earned money elsewhere as you will be giving it for free to this unprofessional attorney !

scott has been my lawyer since 2018 represented me every court date i had regarding my daughter and got me exactly what I wanted every time!!!!!! he’s very transparent and straight forward!! he knows these court rooms inside & out … i highly recommend for any custody case beings though mine was super difficult to take on other attorney turned me away because they were afraid to take on my case! Scott went in head on and we got what we wanted every single time!!
