After working here for a short amount of time I realized that child welfare is constantly failing it’s employees tremendously. I have never in a million years worked for an organization that’s prided themselves in belittling their employees. My supervisor in the child welfare office continuously put me down with words and actions that lead me to believe if I were treated in this manner I can only imagine the way in which the families that they work to serve were treated. The state should investigate the morale in the child welfare office and more importantly they should hold the administrative employees accountable for their actions instead of sweeping matters under the rug. After multiple attempts to resolve issues with HR, I realized how much I didn’t matter and resorted to other employment. Thank God I left this agency.

Secondly, If you go to the address listed its the wrong place, but tricks so many people that the front desk person will hand you a small slip with the actual address printed on it. I just got denied for FITAP and SNAP and the reasons listed are false. The form has all these numbers you can call for leagal help or to file a complaint but they are either wrong numbers or just take you on an eternal loop listening to a robot give you options for what button to press. This system makes a mockery out of people in need trying desperately to get ahead in life.

Worst Automated phone options ever i just need to talk to some one and not sure who, but cant just dial 0 to reach a person to figure out who i need to talk to because theres no option to talk to some one and when you do finally get some one and they tell you no thsys not my department they just refer you to the same dumb number that was no help the first 3 times i called

Do not bother calling for the following reasons, they cannot help you with anything only give you phone numbers that bring you right back to the same person you started with which is the only service rep they employee apparently.

My experience could've been better. The lady wasn't entirely rude but her tone sounded condescending whenever I asked simple questions or whenever I couldn't understand what was said. Hopefully the quality of this customer service improves in the future.
