It was the worse experience I’ve had with a lawyer. They did not understand the process for my county causing a lot of wasted time and money. They were rude when I asked for updates. I ultimately had to get advice from another lawyer who educated me on the proper steps to take.

I was going through a nasty divorce Dawn de Klerk was appointed to be the voice for my children. She did not seek to ensure my children's voice was heard. She never checked on them. She has avoided emails and concerns that I had and she has refused to stay in contact with me during the entire process. My children has suffered greatly because of her. The worst part is now I wake up to empty bedrooms and not hearing my children's voice. It is very heartbreaking. Nothing can replace a mother's love. I thought she would genuinely understand knowing that she is a mother as well. If you love your child/children and you want a guardian ad litem that has that same passion as you do for your child/children make sure you look elsewhere. I never knew that the last time I kissed and hugged my children was going to be my last. My children are now in the care of a convicted felon.
