James Ervin is a wonderful attorney and a great legal mind. James is my “go to” when I have a legal issue. He has always gotten me better results than I expected.

I was referred to Ervin and McGuire law firm from the Legal Shield (formerly Prepaid Legal) service. My initial meeting went very well and I thought James Ervin seemed knowledgeable. I asked about our communication process and was satisfied with his response about communicating my case with me via phone, email or in person. He was very insistent about getting paid so he can "keep his lights on" and that didn't originally sit right with me.I decided to work with him anyway and my experience was that he "seemed too busy" to handle my case in a timely manner and I had to continually email for updates or visit his office. He either did not respond to my emails or was not in the office. Due to the lack of communication I decided to find another legal firm to represent me. I can not refer this firm to anyone at this point. Intent may be well but execution with client communication is poor.

James is the most honest and professional lawyer of all of my staff -South Carolina state-wide. He is easy to talk to and makes things easy to understand from a legal perspective.

Took my money and lied to me about not having a case and wouldn't return my calls. He ended up letting my statute of limitations run out on my case. Had to call the referring law office to get him to return my call. Wouldn't use Ervin if he was the last attorney on earth.

James works for the other team! Never use this law firm if you're wanting to win your case. F-
