Bad a communicating with the client. I had to do a lot of leg work for myself. He said he mailed my divorce certificate around Oct 8th and it is now the 18th and it still has not came in. I have emailed him twice now in the past 2 weeks with no response from him. When in court with Evan I asked how do I know my ex husband is telling the truth to which Evan's response was '' We just have to hope so" .

Please and I mean please DO NOT HIRE THIS ATTORNEY! He is the biggest crook you will ever come across! I hired him for a basic divorce that involved a spouse that had lots of money to be negotiated. At the end of the divorce I ended up with zero dollars and no name change after paying Evan to represent me! I had to do all the leg work, research and negotiating and again like I said I got zip! This man will argue with you, LIE boy does he LIE and cover up his mistakes to the fullest! I honestly do not know how he even passed the bar exam to be a lawyer. He literally spent 1 hour and 20 minutes face to face time with me and wasn't even in the court room the day of the divorce hearing he actually sent a paralegal who was training I believe who knew nothing about the case hense why I still have my married name! Just pure horrible! His first google review read just do the job yourself your better off and I wish I would of listened to that gentlemen because he was ???? right, it was so exhausting and heartbreaking! This is already a tough time in your life getting divorced then to top it off with an incompetent, uncaring thief and yes that's what he is, a fraud was just not right! So please share this with all the people you know stay clear of Evan Smith he is by far the worse lawyer in Mount Pleasant SC

Wow wow wow Want to blow money . Here’s where you go. Very straight forward case that has now turned me into getting a substitution of council ! I’m in worst shape then I came in with . DO NOT HIRE HIM !
