Probably one of the most beautiful Federal gov't complexes around, although public transportation access could be better.

Those of you who are literate and critical of the FDA need to understand a few things:nn1 - FDA does NOT do clinical research. Clinical research is done by profit seeking companies.nn2 - if the Agency has been weakened, and it has, this is a result of reduced funding by Congress. IF the American public wants FEWER regulations, this is what they get. You cannot have it both ways.nnYou cannot have a "kinder, gentler" government with less regulation and then scream, "where was the Agency?" when there are tainted drugs, bad foods, poisonous pet foods, dangerous medical devices, questionable vaccines.nnIF you want the "freedom" offered by Libertarians, YOU must accept the personal responsibility to protect yourself. 20 years ago this year, Congress passed and the President signed into law the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act. In MY opinion, the worst law EVER passed. This law allows the virtually uninhibited sale of ANYTHING with almost any medical claims provided there is a meaningless disclaimer stating that the claims have not been reviewed by the FDA.nnThe public was convinced that such a law gives them personal freedom. It sure does! It gives them the personal freedom to be fleeced by millions of companies selling quack or unproven and potentially hazardous remedies.nnThe public was also convinced that there was a "drug lag" compared with, for instance, England. there was. Drugs came to the market at least twice a fast in England. What no one told the public was that drugs LEFT the market much faster in England leaving behind dead bodies. How many TV commercials are there for "bad drugs?" How are drugs getting to the market MUCH faster now? This is what the public wanted! This is what you get!!nn3 - Write to your elected representatives and tell them to adequately fund the Agency so that they can eliminate "PDUFA" and "MDUFA." These are "user fee" Acts by which profit seeking companies PAY the FDA for review services. There is an INHERENT conflict of interest when hundreds of employees owe their income to user fees!nn4 - the people who work for the FDA, notably the inspectors, are - for the most part - very intelligent, sincere and diligent people. They should NOT be blamed for political decisions made by political appointees and controlled by whichever party is in "power." They strive to protect YOU, the American public, but must work within the constraints set forth by Congress.nnI proudly served the American public through 33+ years at the FDA.

The fraud and death administration is doing fantastic work.

These people should be ashamed of themselves. You are not keeping the people safe. I don't even think you are doing proper research or more then half of what goes on in the farming industry would not be acceptable. You disgust me.

Your foolish experiments on people are necessary only for the befits for you only .these people who work constantly don't deserve your posien .clearly you have not tested your drugs on people who are individualy prescribed separate drugs for other issues and the result of their combination results in untold affects. your ignorance has caused deaths and illnesses to even the people you love.
