If I could give Gerard Desapio Jr. Law Office less then one star I would. I hired them over a year ago to handle a simple no fault accident traffic case in Elizabeth Court. 13 months , and 4 wasted Zoom court appearance later, I am still trying to get this case resolved. When I call them to speak to a lawyer, I’m on hold for 15 to 20 mins. Almost every time I go to zoom court, I am speaking to a different associate lawyer who either does not know about the specifics of my case, didn’t read the file, or just doesn’t care. I was told when I hired them, the fee I paid would cover the case to completion. Not true as they are now asking for more money. On top of all this, we are not at fault, the woman who hit us from behind in Roselle Park, then got out of her car and punch our car window, lied to the Elizabeth police and reported the accident happened in Elizabeth. She claimed she had video, but failed to submit this video to the Elizabeth Court. But did so to our insurance company, who ruled in our favor. I’ve asked for discovery from my DeSapio lawyer and he informed us “ it’s her word against ours”and the Elizabeth Court refuses to dismiss the case based on it’s the wrong jurisdiction, or that the women became violent after she purposely hit our car. I’ve spoken to our insurance claim adjuster, who has the video submitted by the driver of the other car who hit us, and wrote my “Lawyer” at Desapio who has failed to respond or act on getting a copy of this video to prove to the Elizabeth Court that the accident did not occur in Elizabeth. As of today I am still waiting for Desapio to respond or call me back.

They call themselves Lawyers....ha! If only google Allowed for negative stars. Don't waste your time, and money with these assclowns.

I want to thank Richard Chadwick and the staff at DeSapio as I was represented well and professionally. Mr. Chadwick, Esq. went at length to protect my character to the judge during my case. I am truly satisfied how they represent their client within the best possible means.

I was never sent me a retainer, Deyanira Roque never responded to any of my emails, never called me back to discuss the case or representing me for the case. I spoke to her twice, once on the 10th of January and the 2nd time on the 11th and both times you only asked me for a $500 payment and did not discuss my case with me. The only time she called me was to collect money and when I told her firm that I no longer need your representation. You should be calling me to discuss my case along with collecting my money. Now you tell me you can’t refund me because we have been corresponding via email, which we have not and when we last spoke you said you would not be able to work with me on my case until I pay $1500 for you to represent me and once you receive payment you will call me to discuss the details of my case. It takes two parties to correspond and taking payments is not a form of correspondence regarding details of a case. They have not provided any services except charging my credit card and will not give me a refund! You did not even provided a consultation. She said she didn't call me because she thought my case was emergent, which makes NO SENSE. It the matter is emergent then why wait 4 days to call your potential client to discuss the case! Mr DeSapio actually hung up the phone on me and said I was not his client after trying to negotiate a higher payment for my case than the price quoted and said he would send another lawyer to represent me a day before my case. This would give me no opportunity to prepare property for my case. Please do not use this firm and if you did not sign a retainer then they are legally not your attorney. Do not let them trick you! Terrible customer service and very disrespectful!

Hi, i was reading some of the reviews that Mr. Gerard Desapio recieved on here and they are obsurd and false. I personally used this law firm for my criminal and traffic matters and i am absolutely pleased with the outcome of my cases and professionalism that i observed from the office secretaries as well as the attorney. The attorney Ms. Candy Velasquez represented me for the firm and she was in the court room early and prepared. She called my name then had a few brief words with me pertaining my case and then she asked me to have a seat. She then spoke to the prosecutor and judge before coming back with great news. All in all i was in and out of court that morning within half an hour of me arriving which i think is very fast. They notified me via mail/call of my upcoming court dates and were also available for a consultation whenever i asked for one. My consultations were free, were as a lot of other lawyers would not even talk to me without retaining them and paying them first. I mean what more can you ask for from a law office!? I was and am very very pleased and happy that i used them for my cases and will continue to use them and i will recommend everyone i know to go to Mr. Gerard Desapio's law office.
