I was recommended by another attorney because Mr. Joe Spencer is the best. Well I beg to differ with that statement. I was told that I needed to give a $5,000 retainer, paid the 5K, but then I was told later that I needed to give another $20,000, I was overwhelmed with how much I had to pay out. I managed to pay another $5,000, but that was not enough even after we agreed to do a payment plan, but unfortunately without a job and not being able to acquire a loan for the rest of the payment. I tried to get a breakdown of services since I did pay him more than enough to help me with my case, only thing I received from his office was a letter with the Post arrest attorney fees for $25,000, a check that I had given him for $5k and a cash amount of $5K with a total due of $15,000. Also, 3% charge per transaction if I use a credit card. We live in El Paso, Texas and not in Dallas, Houston or San Antonio Texas where people can afford an attorney of that caliber. I wrote a letter to his firm in more detail and hoping that I don’t have to take this matter to a higher power!

We did not have to worry about anything. They promptly returned our calls and answered all questions we had. I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Joseph Spencer, and I can honestly say that it was one of the worst professional interactions I've ever had. From the outset, his attitude was dismissive and condescending, making me feel as though my concerns were trivial and unimportant. His bedside manner was completely lacking; instead of offering reassurance or support, he made rude comments that left me questioning why I had ever considered hiring him in the first place. What’s even more baffling are some of the glowing reviews he’s received on Google. It makes me wonder if those people were on drugs! How can someone with such a negative demeanor receive praise? I have no idea what others see in him, but my experience was nothing short of terrible. If you're looking for a lawyer who will treat you with respect and take your case seriously, I strongly advise looking elsewhere. Joseph Spencer is, without a doubt, the worst lawyer I have ever spoken to. Don’t make the same mistake I did.
