My father was Dr. Joseph Golden, the man who was the primary force (along with John Milroy) behind the creation of the Civic Center. The acoustics in the main theater are amongst the best in the United States. The office tower was added because of demands from the County Legislature. Absent it, the building would have been more aesthetically pleasing and it would had functional improvements as a performing arts facility. It remains one of the most versatile performing spaces in the country. I have worked both there and at the War Memorial as a stage hand. Acts from elsewhere routinely heaped praise on the Mulroy Center. On a personal note: John Mulroy was one of the finest human beings I have ever known.
I've been here numerous times, each quick and easy.
Very helpful and understanding, workers are friendly and nice.
It’s freezing cold and there is a huge line. Why? Because they need to check every bag so slowly. Move the bag check further indoors, hire more people to check bags quicker! Super amateur and gives a very bad look. Seems the folks at Westcott security need better training. One guy just screamed the whole time and did not help
Because I just do.
