Since the start of my bankruptcy case KEL has been invaluable. Most recently, my document collector, Spencer Sorkin, has been very helpful, knowledgeable and very patient despite my many phone calls and questions. He definitely made the process much less stressful for me. He is courteous and professional at all times. I would also like to mention Sharon Freeman who was my paralegal who prepared my petition. Beware of KEL Attorneys. I'm sure they're very helpful to anyone who has the ability to pay upfront but for those of us going through a bankruptcy, that is not exactly realistic. Their payment plan appeared reasonable, however, once I signed everything it became very difficult to get a hold of anyone in their office. Phone calls went unanswered and I was tossed around from person to person before I finally received some answers and when I did, I received poorly written emails with horrible grammar and misspellings, that still never answered my questions. These are licensed law officials? I never received a counter-signed copy of my agreement, thus making it null and void and now after doing nothing for me, they refuse to refund my $500. Beyond disappointing and now I'm out even more money than before. They do not care about their clients. At least not the ones who have to go through a payment plan. I'm sure if I paid them in full, they would be nothing but accommodating like they were when they rushed me through the signing process and barely gave me time to read over what I was signing. Bankruptcy is a very stressful and confusing time for anyone going through it. You deserve an attorney who will take the time to explain to you everything that is going on and be willing AND ABLE to answer your questions. KEL is NOT that company.

Horrible!! I wish I had read the reviews before I attempted to use this law firm. I made my final payment with this firm in January of 2015 since the. I have had no contact form the company on my case status except those stupid letters in the mail about " the attorney working on my case has left the company do you wish to keep your case with KEL?" Since my attorney changes so much every time I call I don't know who I'm supposed to speak with so the receptionist has to tell me and transfer me to that persons voicemail. Because they are either always busy or on a call. I never receive a call back. I cancelled my retainer and asked for my money back now they said it takes up to 7 weeks but still I have heard nothing from them.

Everyone at KEL has been very friendly and prompt as far as returning messages, etc. However, I feel like they advised us to take easiest way for them to take care of the situation for our house instead of the best thing for our family and future credit. In hindsight, I probably should have done a little more research before making the decision, but with the amount of money I paid them and the referrals I had from others about KEL, I took them at their word that their advice was the best course of action. To be fair, they did get me out of the house and I don't have to pay the ridiculous amount of principal we are under water. But now I have to wait for the house to finally foreclose unless the bank will accept a deed in lieu of foreclosure, which KEL will not help at all with unless, of course, we want to pay them MORE money to work on it. I was on the fence with Poor/Fair or Good, but since they did achieve getting us out of the house that was too little for our family and underwater by a ton of money, I have to give them a Good.

Had some issues at the beginning with our assigned lawyer leaving the practice, although we never actually met our lawyer everything was handled by Lead Paralegal Candice Mountz. She was always very professional and always available to answer any of my questions. I never had to wait more than a day to hear back from her. Our case was handled quickly and efficiently and I was very happy with the service. I highly recommend KEL and would definitely use them again should the need arise.
