Shim & Chang

I was injured while on vacation in Hawaii and actually was referred to Shim and Chang by an attorney that had litigated against them in the past. I was told that if she were in my position that is who she would contact. Immediately that was a plus and a relief for me as I live in Arizona and had no idea where to start. I received a call from Harvey who asked pertinent questions regarding the incident. Immediately I was impressed by his honesty- he wanted to make sure we had a case before going forward- and his thoroughness in the questions he asked. After a couple of conversations, Shim and Chang agreed to take my case. From the start ,everyone I spoke to was kind, caring and made me feel I was important to them. I felt as though Sharon, Harvey's assistant, was my long lost friend. She called often to check on me after surgeries and therapy. They made everything so easy! We called to see if this attorney could help us with the claim regarding a city and county injury. We are not the suing type however dozens of people, including another attorney said we need to do something because we have a strong case. After the attorney reviewed the brief description that his assistant wrote down he said he is unable to help us because he doesn't believe there's a strong enough claim. After asking him to further elaborate it came down to the fact that it wasn't a shoe in and dealing with City & County is challenging. After asking if he wasn't up for challenges he was offended and mocked my husband and his injury. In short, if you are looking for an attorney that's aggressive, creative and up for challenges this is not the right agency for you.
