Mrs. Harrington is an arbitrator in Small Claims court. She is completely unprofessional. I appeared in front of her on behalf of two clients. When I made a legal argument based of actually law, she refused to review the evidence. Which would have legallyh forced her to decide in my client's favor. On the second case I had in front of her, she award damages to a party for the complete repairs to a vehicle, when only a molding was broke. She does not follow the facts or the law, which makes her a very dangerous person to have on the bench. If you find yourself in front of her, remain professional and when she incorrectly decides the matter, request a trial De Novo. Mrs. Harrington, as I imagine you are reading this, I want to express my deep dissatisfaction with your remarks to me on the record regarding my argument I made on behalf of my client. Never, have I seen or experienced in almost a decade of practice a individual on the bench ask in the manner you did on the records in a full court room, if my argument based on NY state law is the argument I wanted to go with. Yes - it is. You derogation of the law and belittle of an officer of court is quite frankly despicable.
