Great place to go for dental work. Everyone was extremely nice. Had to have a tooth extracted, Dr Lambing had it pulled out very quickly and it was the smoothest tooth extraction I have ever had. Kristin was just as nice and helpful. She was very attentive. It was a wonderful experience. I would recommend Pure Smiles to anyone who wants a great dental experience.
Dr. Lambing and her staff were very warm, welcoming and professional. They made my first office visit thorough, stress-free and quick. It is plain to see that customer satisfaction is important to her, and I would highly recommend!
My first visit was today! Everyone was so lovely. I typically have a ton of anxiety at the dentist, but everyone including the ladies at the front desk were extremely nice! I felt super comfortable and for once am not dreading my next appointment!
I showed up for my appointment after receiving multiple reminders that if I canceled in less than 24 hours or didn’t show, I would be charged $50. After greeting me, the receptionist told me I would have an out of pocket balance of $275 to pay. I asked why was that and was told they were going to do a panoramic X-ray. I was taken back and told her I just wanted a cleaning since I wasn’t having any problems and she told me it was against the law to do a cleaning without the X-rays. At this point I am none too happy because I elected to pay a higher premium so that my insurance would cover more. This didn’t sound right and I am starting to feel like they are just looking for a way to inflate their billings. I tell her I will just go ahead and pay the cancellation fee, because there is no way I am paying an additional $275 for preventative care. I went home and called my insurance provider and found out that preventative care is covered at 100%. I call the receptionist at the dentist office and tell her what my insurance company told me and she tells me that X-rays are not a part of preventative care! At this point, I’m thinking I have lost my mind, because this has never been my understanding! I call my insurance company back and ask them what exactly does preventative care cover and am told that it is bite wing X-rays and cleaning! I sent the receptionist a text asking to have the practice manager call me. I received a message back that the manager was currently in a meeting, but would get the message when she was done. That was yesterday at 11:30am and I have heard nothing back at this point. Bottom line, this was some sort of “money grab”. In the past I had always been given the choice on whether or not I want to go with a higher priced (i.e. the Panoramic X-ray) out of pocket expense versus the lower priced (i.e. bite wing X-rays) fully covered expense. However, in this instance, I was not given a choice. I was not dealt with honestly and will be filing a complaint with both the Better Business Bureau and the Ohio State Dental Board. The dentist may be a very good dentist, but if they are not fully and truthfully informing the patient up front, that is a huge red flag!
First time here. Christin, Dr. Lambing, Amber and Jackie were super friendly and informative. I am looking forward to a new, positive relationship with you all for my future dental care.
