Registering for classes is far more difficult than it should be. I register for the class I want; with the professors I want when it is my time to register. I check again a few weeks before the semester begins, and I have completely different professors! Really? Despite what faculty thinks, not all professors are as good at teaching as they like to believe. Also, the library has lost the point of being a quiet place to study. There are classes and events going on all the time in the library that the noise level just explodes. There's only ONE area designated as the 'quiet zone,' but that place is almost always busy with events. In short, don't go to the library if you want a nice, quiet area to study. On a brighter note, if you're worried about the competitiveness and overall cutthroat environment of most law schools, you're in luck! This school, from the staff to the student body, is very friendly and welcoming. You won't have to be worried about any students or staff looking down on you or making you feel like an idiot. Everyone here has been very friendly and willing to work with me on anything I need help with. Students are also friendly and helpful to one another. Great environment to thrive in!
Attended a day-long seminar on California water. The lecture hall was clean, had buckets of sanitizing wipes available, clear restrooms and chargers available at the desks.
Due to recent experience, apparently How to screw your client is part of the curriculum. I had one McGeorge alumni, choose to.take my money and run. The only agency that could deal with this, was the County Bar The Members are made from his local peers. Found out that, Private and or corporate lawyers are a self regulating industry. In Nevada County that is a great environment for corruption. After, he bailed, I tried to obtain another lawyer, but was rejected over and over again. Didn't know why, but at time, didn't know that the President or head of County Bar, was my former husband lawyers. She too is a McGeorge Alumni Nancy Clinch must have excelled or specialized in McGeorge's curriculum to screw her clients. She was allowed to hide het client's progressive nuerological disease so she could help drain his savingis. This resulted in him paying 30 t 50 thousand dollars. It also included a year, after she had the judge or court Commissioner to sign off our case. Neither I nor her client knew about it. For some reason, this court official went along with it. As I didn't have a lawyer, I got screwed too. Anyway since she was able to apply this skill to her practice so effectively, I'm sure she teaches it at McGeorge. If not, she should be...Attorney Clinch is proud to support McGeorge's values. ,
Attending McGeorge School of Law was probably the worst experience of my life. There is a mean-spirited culture at the school. There is a culture of fear. Interacting with professors who are cynical, jaded, and insulting just saps the spirit of law students who want to make the world a better place. Avoid McGeorge like the plague.
I moved to California when I was 16 years old I met a lady called Joey that worked for Mcgeorge School of Law. She was the sweetest and really took care of me. Blake the lawyer assisted with my case. They had me meet with them several different occasions to bring in documents( a lot of documentation). We filed my case finally 6 years ago. They were able to get all fees waived and it was a lot. It was truly an amazing experience. I just recently received a call from Blake i now have a workers permit to work in the USA. Sooo grateful. I highly recommend Mcgeorge School of Law. They make you feel comfortable and they get just as excited as you when the paperwork comes through. Love love love them.
