Excellent, authentic Ethiopian food. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are great. I love the decor and that they play Ethiopian music videos. There is also a bar section. The parking is tricky. You have turn down W. 23rd and make an immediate right to park behind the building. There is a back door.

Fist time and didnt know what to expect. The space is humble, the staff are courteous and the food was spectacular! They have both meat and vegetarian options. From what I had everything had great flavor. If you're looking for something different and yummy I would not hesitate recommending Lucy's. I'll be back again!

Surprisingly this place has good food and hot tea! You wouldn't think it by the looks of this place - unassuming from the outside, very strange inside - it feels like a cheap bar seating area, doesn't smell particularly great. Strange atmosphere but it makes up for it some with the food. The vegetarian combo was more than enough to feed two of us, which was another plus.

Superb food and service! This is the best Ethiopian restaurant I have eaten at. The chef and co-owner cooked and served us the food personally, she was extremely friendly. The food was delicious and the portions were large. We ordered the chicken and beef combo platters, and were blown away. Our leftovers were enough to feed another two or three people. I highly recommend the Ethiopian coffee, and if you are feeling fancy, splurge on the coffee ceremony (the incense adds to the multi sensory experience). My partner, a coffee connoisseur, said this is the best coffee he has ever had. I highly recommend the sambusa appetizer as well. Do not think twice, try this place for home-cooked food and a hospitable, clean, and well-decorated atmosphere.
