This Government agency is in charge of a project for reconstructing and widening Route 18 (Main Street/Bedford Street) in Weymouth and Abington. They're to widen the roadway to two lanes and a shoulder in each direction throughout the project corridor. Today the corridor is a four-mile stretch of occasional very deep potholes and other sorts of dangerous paved roadway. The job is going very slowly, you see many people standing around and little work getting done. Must have a very strong Labor Union to stretch out this project into years. Sad really, China would get this done in six or seven days and move on to something else. Who's job is 'being protected' while road-tax, property tax, excise tax paying citizens are risking physical damage and property damage daily? Shame on the leaders for proving so little at such a price.
Oct 11 at 6:00 am 95 north was one lane due to construction at mechanic st bridge I called Mass dot and spoke to Terry Roach He listened took my number and call back to explain tomorrow construction should clear by 5 am not causing the miles of back up like this am As I work in Weymouth I cannot be late again This man went above and beyond to help me !
Pretty awful planning committee. That’s what happens when you elect degenerate city officials and lazy workers.
