I had a Closing with this office back in 2015 and just today, 7 years later, I needed a document from the file for my client. I called and was connected to Shelly Christian in the post closing dept and she was extremely nice and helpful and friendly. She kept me on the phone while she searched the system and ended up finding what I needed. She immediately sent it over to me and totally saved the day!

In Aug of 2021 I refinanced my house. I have owned approximately 12-15 homes throughout my 20 years as a home owner due to my Military service, but I have never refinanced. This was a new process to me, but I was assured everything would be handled properly and this was going to be easier then a "new" mortgage. At first everyone was correct, but after approximately 8 months everything came to light. This closing firm was incorrect by $14,000 on my escrow. Yes, $14,000!! After paying approximately $22,000 in closing cost, I am beyond myself with how a firm this size can mess up a "Refi" that's soooo easy!! Now I have to come out of pocket out of my own money to fix their mistake. To make matters worst, I have been trying to contact them for months and left numerous voicemails, but everyone refuses to speak with me! I would NEVER recommend this firm!! Additional information: Part of my refi was to pay off certain debt. It took me calling them and the debt company 6-7 months to finally pay off one loan.... Not once did they provide assistances!

I used McLain & Merritt to close on the purchase of my new home. Everyone was kind and efficient to work with. I would absolutely recommend this firm for your real estate transactions.
