Unfortunately just had the worst experience with the Spa Staff at the Steamboat Grand. This experience took away from the very nice staff and the beautiful hotel. I would strongly suggest seeking any Spa treatment at a different location, there are many to choose from. I would hope the folks who run this beautiful property look into the folks who are "running the Spa" and remind them they are also representing the Hotel and degrading, challenging and forcing a confrontation with a guest will result in them never returning to that property and making sure none of there colleagues, friends and family return either.

At age 76, you along with Vail have succeeded in pricing seniors out of the market. It is no longer remotely affordable for average folks to ski. I don't doubt that many seniors like myself are resigned to give up skiing as the lift ticket prices combined with lodging and transportation make it impossible to justify the cost. I hope when you are in your 60's and 70's and wish to go skiing for 5 or 6 days with your spouse, you will be able to afford to pay $1000 per day for the privilege.

My wife bought a Solitude pass and, after seven calls with promised callbacks that never came, still cannot get her Ikon pass because the website keeps telling her she is inputting the wrong birthday. Imagine that? Seven calls and nobody will call her back, nor fix that they won't accept her true birthday? Ikon says to call Solitude. Solitude tells her to call Ikon. Still no pass that she paid for. I'm thinking to complain to American Express about this shoddy treatment. Off to a great start guys and gals.

I called Alterra and and left a message and they chose not to call me back. I am concerned with the partnership they have with Protect Our Winters. When purchasing a pass product, customers can opt to join POW. I am curious why this is the only organization that we can partner with our pass? POW uses 56 cents of every dollar on programs and services, far below the industry standard of 85%. And 14 cents out of every dollar went to a single individuals' salary. I personally would prefer to direct those resources towards an organization than actually focuses on the environment like The Sierra Club or The Nature Conservancy. POW preaches environmentalism and then their athletes fly in private jets, helicopters, etc... all in order to sell ski gear and clothing that is shipped from China. This is gross consumerism rebranded to make people unwilling to do the research feel better about themselves and their impact. This seems much more like coercion to support a slush fund rather than a means for environmental advocacy.

Not happy that Alterra Mountain Company has decided not to renew the Summer St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights Concert Series after 14 years at the prefect venue in Deer Valley.
