After surgery, rehab, six weeks at home, and another month in the hospital, it was clear that my father needed institutional care. Thanks to Mr. Pfeifer's efforts, my father's admission to the nursing home went smoothly. Later he qualified for Medicaid. In February of this year, my mother suffered a small stroke. She came home after seven weeks in hospital and rehab. The rehab facility recommended 24-hour aide coverage, but we could only afford it for eight weeks. By successfully completing her Medicaid application, Mr. Pfeifer ensured my mother would have a full-time aide in her own home. What I like about Michael Pfeifer's style is that he uses simple language, not legal jargon. He listens well. His billing method is straightforward. He instills confidence. Michael helped my family complete a medicaid application for my elderly mother. The process was complex, lengthy and, at times difficult , but he and his office staff were always there to answer all questions, to help with the gathering of materials necessary to the process, and to help complete the necessary forms. Subsequently he recommended and then helped us obtain a home health aide to assist and stay with my mother so she could have someone with her at all times. I should also add that Michael helped us update my mother's will, generate a durable power of attorney, and explained all of it to all of us in as much detail as we required.
