From the first Zoom meeting with Ellen Makofsky, we knew we had chosen an excellent attorney to help us plan for a special needs couple in our family. I have no doubt from other reviews that this firm is capable. You should be aware they can be quite costly. I contacted them to put in place a Power of Attorney for a relative. They were responsive and nice but then I was informed it would cost me $365 just to have the first conversation with me about preparing one. Then there will be fees to talk to my relative, prepare the documents and fees to go to the nursing home to sign. $365 for just a conversation about preparing a POA was unexpected and unreasonable in my opinion. Who knows how much more it would be to talk to my relative, prepare the documents and meet with them to sign and notarize. I found another very reputable firm to do the entire effort for $425 in just a couple of days.
