I’ve been working with Lisa Valente since the Fall of 2022. Lisa is not only an outstanding attorney, she is compassionate, caring and very responsive. Lisa helped me through some very difficult circumstances from where I live in Pennsylvania with regard to the closure of my mom’s estate. Today, I know I would not have had the very favorable outcome I received without her guidance, support and recommendations. I highly recommend her services. You will not be disappointed. The staff has been over-the-top with me as well. Their excellent professionalism from answering the phones to responding to my inquiries and processing of invoices made it much easier for me. Love this Law Group!!!
My husband and I have been working with Deidre Baker on a complex elder law situation that required a lot of tedious communication and consistancy. Deidre was ALWAYS kind, compassionate and professional. I would 100% recommend her to anyone in need of an elder care attorney.
I have worked with Lisa Valente and Christina Lamm. I have found this group to be So... helpful, caring and knowledgeable. They respond back quickly and are proactive in giving you the information you need. They will ask you to be sure you haven't forgotten dates or left out information. I TRULY RECOMMEND them!!
From the first Zoom meeting with Ellen Makofsky, we knew we had chosen an excellent attorney to help us plan for a special needs couple in our family. Our goal is to help them move into a high-quality assisted living or continuing care environment. Ellen has an impressive command of all the areas of law that a move like this will entail. Beyond that, she is a pleasure to work with, a patient and thoughtful listener who “gets us” and our unique issues. She helped us find a geriatric social worker who was able to improve the couple’s health and safety in their current apartment and will continue to lend her support to them. Ellen has outlined alternative courses of action to take to help the couple transition to a better life. We left a recent meeting in her office with a “to do” list and a new sense of confidence that we are on the right track. Ivy Miller, April 7, 2022
I have no doubt from other reviews that this firm is capable. You should be aware they can be quite costly. I contacted them to put in place a Power of Attorney for a relative. They were responsive and nice but then I was informed it would cost me $365 just to have the first conversation with me about preparing one. Then there will be fees to talk to my relative, prepare the documents and fees to go to the nursing home to sign. $365 for just a conversation about preparing a POA was unexpected and unreasonable in my opinion. Who knows how much more it would be to talk to my relative, prepare the documents and meet with them to sign and notarize. I found another very reputable firm to do the entire effort for $425 in just a couple of days.
