The Georgetown University Law Center is located in the Capitol Hill area of Washington, D.C. The campus consists of five buildings. It’s not located in the same area as Georgetown University. It’s not really a tourist attraction. If someone’s considering going to law school there that’s probably the only reason they would stop in and check out the campus. I happened to visit in fall so the leaves changing color made it quite pretty.

The school overall is great, but I wouldn’t recommend it for students with disabilities. Students and speakers who are privacy-conscious should be careful as well. Mary Ellen Vigeant is the current director of disability services and she makes disabled students manually record audio of their law school classes on their personal cell phones without the knowledge of some professors, any class speakers or any other students. She also makes the school use a smartphone app built by a Silicon Valley startup called Otter, which was created by people in business to transcribe meetings. She has her disabled students install Otter on their phones to do the recordings so they can get the audio transcribed by Otter’s artificial intelligence (basically a worse version of automated Youtube captions) and use that transcript for class notes, without telling them or their professors that Otter is not designed for law schools, so it has no legal dictionary, it has no duty of privacy, everything that is recorded stays in the cloud forever, and Otter makes money selling user data. And if its user list ever got hacked, it would show a pretty comprehensive list of the students with disabilities at Georgetown Law.

Georgetown Law is really just an incubator for the unimpressive ruling class of tomorrow"....I have no optimism for the future of our Judges because this is just another indoctrination camp.

I called this number to help someone find law students for pro bono work, which I was told they do for free before they become attorneys and the lady said call one of the law clinics but had no forwarding information like a number, a person, a referral to someone,, and she didnt even say let me see if I can get the information for you. When you work for a company, school, business and the place has multiple departments, sections, and or branches under one name learn to guide people to a directory. As big as the school is ya'll are teaching future lawyers and yall don't know the number? why don't yall have a directory? learn customer service rule number one if you dont know offer to find out and call back. Poor customer service, especially when I needed help 27 years ago and had no problems. Those students not only saved my life but my son's. Them law students where amazing and someone needed them just as I did 27 years. To bad no one wanted to help me help someone else.

Very good law school. Many courses are taught by leading experts in their field of law and by practicing lawyers. This gives students an opportunity to gain plenty of practical know hows and knowledge. It is worth to mention that the school has one of the best international law and tax faculties in the U.S.
