As a financial advisor, one of the most complex situations I find myself in is providing guidance to individuals with a family member with special needs. Annette and her team at The Special Needs Companies are an amazing resource and I would never think of advising a special needs family without consulting them. I would highly recommend her online courses for families trying navigate and properly plan for their loved one, as well as professionals looking to better understand the challenges that their clients are facing.
Attorney Hines is so thorough and knowledgeable about every aspect of special needs transitions and planning. Her class is as beneficial for parents who are just starting the journey as it is for those practicing in the field. Attorney Hines allows ample time for questions and ensures mastery of the subject matter.
Annette is the best. We recently had the opportunity to reconnect with Annette concerning our adult son’s special needs trust. As always, Annette was pleasant, easy to talk to, extremely knowledgeable, informative and professional and she is the best at what she does. Her heart is in helping all of her clients.
Five years ago Annette Hines assisted my family in creating my mother's estate plan. I now have an issue with a trust she drafted. I contacted the office as I have questions and concerns. Her office advised me that Attorney Hines will not speak with me about this. I have not asked for assistance or representation, simply information that I am happy to pay the firms going rate for. I was not informed for the reason for this refusal despite my asking. Additionally, during the process of her representing my family, she was slow to respond to emails and calls and treated me in a way that was condescending and patronizing. I would not recommend this firm and would advise that you find an attorney and a firm that you feel will represent you with respect and advocacy and will stand behind the work they have done.
My wife and I have a daughter with disabilities and always knew we needed to set up a Special Needs trust for her. We were referred to the Special Needs Law Group and have been extremely impressed and pleased. One of the attorneys in the firm is a "Special Needs" attorney, and another attorney specializes in "Trust" law. Together, they have the expertise and are exactly what we were looking for.
