At Stearns & Ryan, the nurturing environment has significantly contributed to my growth as an aspiring attorney. What stands out is the managing partner, Ryan Stearns, who personally invests time in interns’ development, offering guidance and support. This direct involvement and commitment to our advancement truly distinguishes Stearns & Ryan.
As a law clerk at Stearns & Ryan, I found an encouraging team that fosters growth and teamwork. In just three months the technical skills and legal knowledge I've gained is invaluable. The work is challenging yet rewarding, and the firm culture that's complete with Friday catering and endless snacks makes for an enjoyable atmosphere. I'm proud to be part of a firm that blends a fun and supportive environment with a drive for results.
My experience as a summer clerk at Stearns & Ryan has been enriching, offering real legal work, from drafting documents to court submissions. The firm, led by Ryan, ensures a balance of professional growth and personal support. The unique family-like atmosphere here truly cares for each individual's well-being
In my opinion, Ryan Stearns is an evil man who destroyed our lives. He was supposed to defend us against a false claim of child support that my estranged mother began. My very elderly father with cognitive decline hired him with a specific request that he include me in communication. He rarely even communicated with my father during the case. We also never received itemized billing statements in the mail. He would call my dad to make credit card payments. In my opinion, he took advantage of an elderly person. We had little communications regarding what was going on with our case. We didn’t even know a trial was coming up until a week before. In my opinion, he didn’t prepare my very elderly father and we lost badly having to pay over 100k to this evil firm, 50k in my mom’s attorney fees and he had to pay 200k in a fake back child support claim and quit claim a property he owned. It was a loss as badly as it comes and in my opinion, it is because of the ill preparation of Ryan Stearns and poor communication from him. He didn’t get a handwriting expert for an important document. The judge thought it was forged but we were never told that this was an option to authenticate the document. We had to hire another attorney to make sure everything was iron clad with this judgment and he told us that it is not normal for an attorney to not communicate well with a client and he should have hired a handwriting expert for that type of document. My father would have paid. I do not recommend working with him. Plus, in my opinion, he went to a mediocre law school.
I can't say enough nice things about the lawyers at Stearns Kim & Stearns who helped me. I knew I couldn't afford a costly divorce, and they handled it beautifully. Ryan Stearns was really helpful in explaining to me how to get our property divided and support established, and even outlined a budget to get it done. He did explain to me that he couldn't guarantee staying on this budget, since litigation can be unpredictable, but I appreciated that he was upfront and honest about that. Fortunately they were able to keep my case on budget! I really liked how straightforward Mr. Stearns’ and his lawyers were, they were all so helpful! Loe Chaelee, one of the associates and who worked closely with me, was an absolute rock star!
