Empathetic and Effective! 5.0 stars Posted by Sandy L January 11, 2024 Leta represented me during the 2022-23 process of an uncontested divorce. Even though my ex spouse and I were amicable, it was still a very difficult time as we navigate through the details of children's custody and alimony. I was the spouse who had more to lose from financial sense and Leta listened to my concern and helped me legally navigate a fair outcome. She was always responsive and really took the time to explain the divorce process, and the "why's' behind each statement in the divorce paper as we drafted it. She even gave me tips on how to approach talking to my ex as we negotiate. She took the time to listen and I was really impressed with how empathetic she was. I did not like some of the other lawyers who had personalities to be "out to get my ex". I was trying to move forward amicably but still makes sure my interests were protected. Leta was very upfront about how long a divorce process in NYC due to backlog and estimate that from filing separation to judge decree, it would take 1 year. She was spot on (illustrates her experience and honesty to not sugar coat). Overall she's made the most difficult process in my life bearable. I felt like my outcome was fair/expedient and fairly charged. I also want to compliment her paralegals who were so prompt in all their responses. Anytime I wanted to talk/email I always heard from them in less than 1-2 BD max. I've actually recommended her to another friend of friend who's seeking divorce too.
