I give a 5-star rating to the law firm of Tolmage, Peskin, Harris & Falick because they are excellent personal injury lawyers who work on each case with dedication and a result-oriented mindset! I specifically worked with Matthew Lombardi, Esq., who represented my aunt (a very senior lady) in a complex personal injury case against a NYC yellow cab company. My aunt was a visitor in NYC from abroad who was severely injured by a yellow cab while crossing a street. The case was complicated because it involved 1) a non-resident of the United States with no local health insurance and 2) a yellow cab company, which is notorious for being extremely difficult and pesky to work with. Despite that, Mr. Lombardi did not hesitate to take up the case and diligently worked till its conclusion, which culminated in a very favorable settlement for my aunt. His best quality is his tenacity in negotiations – he will not shy away to go to court if the other side is obstinate and he cleverly uses argumentative evidence to get an outcome in the best interest for his clients. He is very expedient in his work and moved our case as quickly as possible through the court system, shortening the overall length to completion, which in many such cases can take 3+ years in NYC. Mr. Lombardi stayed on top of communicating with me (since I was in a role of a translator to my aunt) and I always knew what stage the case is at and what is expected next. Mr. Lombardi explained everything very clearly and when deposition time came, he met and worked with my aunt for several days to prepare her for questioning before she felt comfortable about what to expect and what to focus on. Overall, Mr. Lombardi led this case with a tight grip and the positive results only speak for the effort and dedication he put into it. I found him to be a lawyer who loves his job, he is very personable and high-spirited, and I think he should be the first-choice for anyone who has been injured in an accident.
I have seen firsthand that the attorneys at Tolmage, Peskin, Harris, & Falick, are very knowledgeable about the law and highly committed to their clients. These devoted personal injury lawyers fight hard for all of their clients to make sure that they get the highest compensation they deserve. The staff is helpful and friendly. This is definitely a firm that will go the extra mile for you if you are ever injured in an accident.
When I was struck by an SUV on January 19, 2009. my daughter in Seattle asked a lawyer friend to find someone in NY to help us out. I don't know the details but Stephan was recommended and that was the beginning of an extraordinary relationship. From our first meeting in the hospital to our triumphant handing over the check barely two years later, Stephan was a caring, compassionate advocate for my best interests. He always made me feel I was special ~ I was never made to feel that he had no time for me. And I want to add that his staff was excellent, reflecting the way he manages the . office. I will never forget his delight at the end of a deposition when I Iet loose at the defendant's lawyer about my psyche being destroyed by the accident and he awarded me every existing theatre prize! That Stephan was able to determine that an 86-year-old woman was worth something and that the driver and her insurance company had to acknowledge that was a masterful display of a very accomplished lawyer. I always had a suspicion that Stephan wanted to go to trial to show more of his skills. I was impressed by the really short time a really good settlement was reached. Thank you, Stephan Peskin, for being there at a time when I was very vulnerable and needed a responsible someone to take the difficulties and make then disappear in a confident, assured manner.I remain grateful.
When I was introduced to Stephan Peskin in 2010, I was fully conscious and barely coherent-- courtesy of surviving a car accident that gave me a Traumatic Brain Injury leading to a 2-month coma. I was in a wheelchair with limited mobility or reassurance that this experience could provide anything involving a worthy outcome. My case had its own peculiarities which contributed to the resilient process that would be the next three years. During that time, Stephan Peskin and his fellow attorney, Matthew C. Lombardi, both took a gamble with me by intending justice at the rarity of success. Putting any sheer odds aside, they paved a path for my case to reach a successful end. In humbling gratitude and appreciation, I can assure this law firm’s skillful dedication towards justice being served.
Not very helpful at all. Would not even answer a simple question for me.
