I would not recommend using this office for any of their services they provide. In addition, if you are appointed a GAL from this office, if you can appeal or deny I would highly recommend doing so. Try to call in to make a payment and get hung up on. Call back and the lady says I hung up on her....Why would I hang up when I was the one calling in to make a payment? Not only that she said she was going to transfer me again and put me on hold without saying anything instead of transferring. When I called back the 3rd time she still refused to take my payment. I let her know that it would be documented that she was refusing to take payment. If only 1 or 2 people in the office can take payments, then maybe more should be trained so when people call in to make a payment it can be made and it not be used against someone later that payment wasn't made. Again I did try to call and make payment. In my opinion and experience I would not recommend.
Jennabeth, who answers the phones and who takes payments, is very courteous and professional. However, if you have an option regarding Laura Peterman, I personally would not recommend her. If she is appointed to any case/hearing that you may have I would strongly suggest appealing to have someone else appointed. The report made was not accurate or correct and lacked many details. In addition, there was a lack of investigation/communication to individuals that were listed and infromation provided to cotnact the individuals. It seems that the best interest was not where it needed to be. In addition, the location of places you appear at should be accurate as well, but this was not accurate in the report either. Information that was listed in the report was not fully backed with actual, legitimate facts. If it was her opinion for all the details she input then it makes me really wonder who she was looking out for in the whole case/situation. It was clearly not the child's best interest. So please if you are appointed her, please see what you can do to appeal. In my opinion, the amount of time being charged seems that she is not charging the mother, but don't see the mother's invoice so who knows. If you have to have this GAL make sure to pay close attention to your invoices. This GAL was and is more worried about money than the child she is assigned to.
