If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. This place does not know anything about what they do. I spent months waiting for an oral surgery consult because initially I was told that was the only place covered for me. After waiting 3 months for the "consult" which would still not get the tooth extraction resolved (that was going to take a second appointment which could not be scheduled prior to the consult), I showed up today and was told I had the wrong time. This, even after verifying the time twice with the provider (who will also be getting a nasty review). I was told I'd have to reschedule. I gave them my paperwork to shred and told them what they could do with their rescheduling. When I got home, I called Delta Dental and was told that I did, in fact, have nore choices and that neither myself or my dentist could make those arrangements (even though my dentist did it the first time). Customer service said that everything had to be done through their "dental Coordinators". I had to give all of the information regarding my dentist, contact, what tooth, etc., and tell basically my whole life story and then was told a "Dental Coordinator" would call me back within 30 days! ha! Really? Anyway, I was shocked when the dental coordinator called back in about 10 minutes. They made me repeat all of the information that was just given to the customer service rep, read me a list of 4 places I could go per my policy, and I chose one of them. They then proceeded to tell me that I had to do all the "coordination" of the appointment. I asked them why they are dental "coordinators". They were not coordinating anything. In fact, they were saying that I had to do it myself. By this time, I had wasted over 6 hours on this appointment and finding a new place and now I am still doing all the work for them? Honestly, I want to know what they are getting paid to do!! I can read. They could have this information available via the website or the customer service rep could have read the list to me and given me the email for the new place. How ridiculous! The dental coordinator refused to tell me what they do in their role of coordinating. honestly refused to tell me what the role of a dental coordinator is. Wow. Anyway, I did go up the chain to tell management that they could save alot of time by eliminating dental coordinators who don't coordinate anything. They could also reimburse me for my wasted day that I do not get paid for when I am off of work. They did not like that idea. The first so called supervisor was a spineless, lazy, additional waste of time. Grow a pair lady! If you do not want to talk to upset subscribers then don't create these idiotic situations where you upset the subscribers. Keep in mind, if not for subscribers, you'd not have a paycheck. The money doesn't come out of think air now, does it? Then I finally did speak with Jenn, who was not a "manager" (like the customer service person said) but an access department rep. At least I will give you this, Jenn did have a spine and did not have a problem with me listening to me (even though nothing was going to change as a result) or my complaints. Still, after purposely wasting her time (to prove a point), I did ask her if she was enjoying having her time wasted, she said she did not. I told her that was the difference. I did. Another difference is that she was getting paid for her wasted time. I was not. This is a pathetic company and they should not get all of the contracts they do. I will try to get this changed so my tax dollars do not continue to go through them for all this government insurance bs, and just switch providers. They have done absolutely nothing for me, even though I have had my insurance since March! I am going to bill them for my wasted time and lost wages for today and actually ask for my premiums to be refunded to me!
Wonderful customer service. It is clear they are committed to customer service. Any issues or questions I had were resolved in a timely manner. Would highly recommend!
I have personally had Delta Dental for more than 6 years. My management team is also enrolled in Delta Dental. I have always found the customer service to be helpful and I can easily navigate the online portal. I would l highly recommend Delta Dental.
I have been with Delta Dental for a few years. Just can't believe how much lower their prices are. I recently had a root canal and it would have been over $1,500! Their price was under $1,000 and after insurance I paid just $450. Customer for life!
I wouldn't want dental insurance from anywhere else! The customer service is great and they stand behind their products! I highly recommend Delta Dental!
