Reviews

Great campus with awesome landscaping and relevant facilities. On campus clinic is very convenient and pharmacy has very cheap medicines. On campus cafeterias and parking are also open to public at noon which provides a lot of convenience.
Great place to work; Safety, Respect, Excellence, Courage and One Team
This is the actual office, not a gas station. I worked at this company in this location 15 years ago, before the oil spill, so perhaps some of my comments are out of date. Still I do not recommend BP as a company for those seeking a job. The pay for technical staff was and as far as I can tell, still is much poorer than at independents. Work environment is now cubicles as is the european norm. Americans ubiquitously dislike cubicles (think Dilbert). However, employees still have a 9/80 work schedule as I understand it, which is nice. The office exterior is also very nice with ponds and paths. The multi-story garage is attached to the building which is handy. They get two stars for inheriting a nice office from Amoco, but BP have tried hard to screw even that up. As far as the oil spill and the deadly refinery plant explosion, I was not surprised having seen their work processes. I was not impressed then and remain so.
BP is all talk, no action. They tell land owners one thing, then do the opposite. If we would have known we were going to be treated with such disrespect, we would have definitely told them NO and to go drill somewhere else. No amount of money was worth tearing our land up like they did. They said they would repair our property but once the well started producing, they act like they don't know who we are and ignore our phone calls and messages. They have locked us out of our OWN PROPERTY on several occasions!!! Definitely not the company we thought they were!!!!
My wife recently retired from BP after 17 year service. As an oil company, BP offered her a not too bad retirement package. I would rate the company much better if not because she experienced very poor HR support in the process, which costs her half-year bonus. When a company cuts safety personnel, it destines for a safety failure. When a company cuts HR people, it loses future talents!
