I spoke to Ms. Alyssa Little about my concerns, and the one thing I loved about her is that she listened to my problem first. Unlike other lawyers that I spoke to, where they always mention the retaining fee or how much I would end up spending totally, Ms. Alyssa shown concern for me first as a "client who needs help" rather than someone she will earn money from. She gave me proper directions and information regarding what I needed to do even when I have not decided yet to hire her. Right now I'm just figuring out the financial side but I can't wait to be able to pay the retaining fee because I really loved how actively she was trying to help me! Thank you and I can't wait to work Ms. Alyssa Little soon!
Pam at the front desk was nice enough, but the information on the website for Robinson and Henry completely contradicts the information given to me. The tone was condescending, and the action of referring me to CLS was as well. I wouldn't have come here if I didn't have the money to afford a retainer fee, and I have tried the CLS/CO Bar route far too many times. The video cuts off at 30 seconds, but there is more, and the screen recorded video also only shows 30 seconds of the conversation that took place. So I do feel I was dismissed and it would have been great to still be able to have a consultation with an actual legal representative, not with a secretary or assistant or tech or phone operator, etc. It felt dishonest. If you need to update your website to reflect the services actually provided, I would think that would definitely be a top priority for a law firm of any kind.
I had a very satisfying consultation session with an attorney named Dag Johnsrud for my potential eviction case. Even though I intended on personally handling the initial filing process (with hopes that case will be defaulted), he provided important insights and answered all my questions thoroughly. The genuine helpfulness made me feel very trustworthy of this law firm and I would certainly retain them if the matter end up in the hearing.
All of these reviews are about how good they were in the initial free consultation, but most of these people seem to have not retained their services. Unfortunately, I was someone who did retain them to help with an issue I was having with a tenant. $1500 as a retainer + $462 to write a demand for rent and serve it. I was initially ok with this. Perhaps a little high for a doc that would have taken me 15 minutes to write, but that's fine. But the kicker was the subsequent invoices. $185 to review my file and send an email. Then I just got charged ANOTHER $45 for a 4 line obviously copy and pasted email. What a scam. I've retained legal counsel for other matters in the past. I've never been charged for such a quick and simple task. Strongly recommend avoiding these people. They will try to charge you for every little thing.
Attorney Ed Robinson was absolutely more than we could have hoped for. The issue that we needed assistance with was relatively straightforward, but involved some complex family dynamics. He maintained his professionalism and just plain politeness through anything that was thrown his way. I cannot recommend him or this firm enough. They understand the law but they also understand how to work with people who might be undergoing some distress. Five stars.
