Dan Allan & Associates

After 2 years with the public defender I hired Dan Allan. Almost a year later and $5000 later I can honestly say I my public defender was much more helpful! From the moment he was hired I expressed I wanted resolution. As private representation that charges $480 an hour it was like talking to a wall while throwing money out the window! Zero communication on his end and he didn't even care to file for 900 days of credit until after messing up 3 change of plea hearings due to lack of competence on his end. If you're seeking a lawyer willing to work for you and assist you in your legal situation I would definitely recommend you go elsewhere! In the end I feel like the DA would of been a better candidate to represent me than Mr. Allan.

I got ripped off too. A handful of phone calls and only one document typed up to me. They didn’t even try to serve my spouse. I called and told them I wanted the rest of my retainer back. He agreed. Two months later, I’m still waiting. I’ll call tomorrow. He’ll charge me for another call.

I can’t speak well enough of Mr.Allan. Trust me if you need a lawyer to represent your custody/ divorce case go to him. Even through the epidemic and courts were backed up he was always right there if I needed anything throughout his busy schedule. May I add during this whole process my court case was in Alaska while I lived 4,000 miles away at the time and he still made a point to make sure I was up to date and communicated with me as if I were there. He fought hard in representing me and is very witty and genuine. Nothing really gets past him in court. You can tell he is a very experienced lawyer and I wouldn’t have won without him. Thank you Dan Allan!

DO NOT HIRE DAN OR ANYONE FROM THIS LAW OFFICE. If I could give a lower star rating I would. I hired Dan to take care of my divorce case while I was deployed in Afghanistan. During the initial consultation Dan did a VERY good job of making me feel like I was going to be very well taken care of. As soon as he got my money I NEVER heard from him or anyone in his office unless I repeatedly called over and over. The case still wasn’t resolved by the time I got back from deployment (which was fine) so I showed up in person on the final court hearing and NO ONE from his office even showed up!! And they assured me that I wouldn’t be alone in that courtroom!!! I honestly don’t know what “service” I even paid for other than the simple filing of divorce papers!! After the case was resolved I had to call his office every single day for almost 2 months to get the remainder of my retainer back. By the time they finally cut me a check, they had slapped another $400 in charges on there. I am MORE THAN DISAPPOINTED with the service I was given and I wouldn’t recommend ANYONE to this law office for any sort of legal representation. Dan Allan and his associates are unprofessional and an embarrassment to the legal services industry. If you value your money and the service it buys, please for the love of god go somewhere other than this office. Do yourself and everyone else a favor and spread the word about them too, no one should have to receive the service I did for the amount of money I paid.

Dan Allen won my custody case. It was an overwhelming and scary experience but he guided me through it. He was patient and easy to work with. The case was moved to Kenai and he still did a great job. He and his staff have been available for all of my follow up questions and any concerns I’ve had with visitation. I moved here from out of state and am so lucky that his name was recommended to me - as I didn’t know any attorneys and have never been involved in any legal proceedings. I’m very grateful to know that I can keep my son safe, healthy, and happy thanks to him!!
