Higgins & Associates

We were appointed this firm through our state health care to help with a disability case for my child. They are awful. No communication, didn't listen to what I had to say, and failed to enter all evidence into my child's case causing us to be denied and have to start all over again with a new case. When i expressed my frustration about the lack of communication, the lady simply said "ma'am there is nothing to comminicate to you." I had no idea where my child's case was in the system, we went months without words from this firm. Every time I would call, someone would "take a message" and I would never hear back. The only time I spoke to a "Case Manager" was the day before the hearing (which took place over the phone), and when she asked me 2 questions during the hearing, that's it.... Please do your research.

Very unprofessional!! Saw and talk to attorney 1 time and that was in court. Assured me everything was going very good. Said her and judge was familiar with case. Judge didn't know I was diabetic, didn't know other issues. Was not able to contact firm again. They are a joke. Waited 2 and a half years. Filed an appeal with an excellent firm. Informed to never hire outside of home state. This form merged with a firm I had originally hired and moved to Texas. Criminals!!!!!

We have not had a good experience with Higgins and Associates at all. BUYER BEWARE. Do yourself a favor and please run AWAY! We have been involved in a grueling, horrible, time wasting, stressful, Chapter 13 bankruptcy with this firm. Our case should have been over and closed out a month ago but due to the mishandling of our case it is still in limbo after 5 years. We have lost all the equity in our home due to the negligence of these people and they are making no efforts to correct anything. Their promises have not been kept and they have misrepresented things over and over again to us. They have not acted with any loyalty or in our best interest at all. They are nothing but an uncaring, cookie cutter firm that are only out for their own interests. If you want a firm that will negotiate for you & be on your side, this firm is NOT it. I recently found out even the trustee's office gets tons of complaints about this firm. If you have had a bad experience with these people as we have your voice NEEDS to be heard. The financial damages they have caused us far exceeds what they have charged in attorney's fees. Shame on you, Higgins and Associates for costing us over 5 years worth of time and thousands of dollars!

They do not update your records like they are suppose to do. The lawyers they provide are not very professional they treat you more like a number than a person. I'm definitely not going to use them again.

RUN AWAY FROM THIS LAW OFFICE! NO NOT WALK INTO IT. YOU WILL REGRET IT. THEY START OFF BY SENDING A UNSOLICITED FLYER TO YOUR HOME AND TELL YOU THAT THE CONSULTATION IS FREE OR EITHER THAT THE LAW OFFICE WILL TAKE LIKE $300 OFF YOUR FEES. BUT HERE COMES THE CATCH! AFTER YOU SIGN UP, THEY TELL YOU THE FEE IS $700 AND YOU ASK FOR YOUR $300 DISCOUNT, THATS WHEN THEY LIE AND TELL YOU THE $300 IS ALREADY APPLIED . DAMN SCAM ARTISTS
