I've worked with Holcomb Law on two occasions. To be very honest the first experience was terrible. The communication was horrible, and they didn't seem to care. I was reluctant to use them again, but I was assigned a new lawyer when the other one left. The second experience was great overall. He was very fast and kind with communication. He respected me and my decisions, but always had advice on the best course of action. He was professional and compassionate. Unfortunately, they are no longer able to represent me due to a conflict of interest, which is a shame.

My attorney Natalie was very informative and the judicial process. It was a blessing to have her putting my best interests in heart in my legal matter! Her assistant Jess was just a phone call away was very polite and was very knowledgeable with any of questions and took the to explain in full details anything I wasn’t understanding.

I am not sure where to really begin. I reached out to this firm in November of 2023 because I was trying to get the best representation during such a horrible divorce and custody issue. I was trying to get myself and my kids out of an abusive situation. So, I chose this law firm because of the reviews. Do not let the reviews fool you at all because it has cost me thousands of dollars, an ongoing case and still fighting a battle due to the negligence of Riley Underwood. After I retained Riley Underwood after having the consultation with her, I provided her and her paralegal James everything they needed for my divorce complaint. My husband did not even have an attorney yet. Here we come to December, and she still has not filed my complaint with the clerk's office. She filed a day after my husband's attorney filed. I asked if this messed with my case at all she advised me it does not. That is not 100% true, it depends on the accusations in your complaint. She knew how serious my abuse was and the abuse towards my children and she advised me that I could not deny my husband access to the kids, or it would not look good on my part when we get to court. That also was found to not be accurate. The judge did not take my abuse serious at all. Nor did the Guardian ad litem because Riley Underwood also failed to give any of my evidence that she had in a binder provided by me to the GAL. She also did not use any of this evidence in the court room at my pendente lite hearing. I had given her handwritten letters, text messages to my family members of my husband admitting to the things he had done. I had pictures etc. She used nothing I gave her. I had three witnesses she could have used that day, and she used one out of the three. Riley Underwood told me during this hearing that if opposing gets off topic she can and will bring up the abuse. She did not do that. She allowed a circus to take place in the court room for 4 hours straight. The very first thing she failed to do was properly notice the court for my spousal to be heard that day, so due to that I have gone almost a year without spousal because I am currently still going through the divorce and custody process. She also did not turn in my proffers for the judge to see until the day before court. So, I am unsure if they were ever seen at all. I did everything on my part so Riley Underwood could represent me to her full potential. I put my life in her hands, and she failed me and my children. I am currently still fighting this battle due to the negligence of Riley Underwood failing in all aspects of this case. She even agreed to things with opposing counsel prior to the hearing that I never agreed to that also cost me. I lost access to my home because she agreed on my behalf that my husband could have what they call sole physical possession of the marital home. I never agreed to this, and I did not know what it meant until I read the order and asked via email to the paralegal what it meant. So, all of my belongings were still in the home and my children's. I had to fight for months to get our items and that is still in process. I went 9 months without being able to see my family dogs because those were being withheld as well. She even had evidence about the abuse on the dogs as well. Riley failed my family all the way around. Child support was done incorrectly as well, she knew this and did nothing about it. Still an ongoing process for that too. This is a brief outline there is so much more but do not put your life or you kids' life in the hands of Holcomb Law Firm or Riley Underwood. If you are going through a divorce and custody case, you need to keep looking for the best attorney to represent you because it is not Holcomb and it most certainly is not Riley Underwood.
