Reviews

Mr. Alley told me that once he recieved his fee that he would immediately be filing for a hearing in my case, which then would take approximately 30-40 days by general rule at least have a hearing date scheduled. It took me. Alley almost a full year to get that hearing date, which then resulted in my hearing never even going to court, and being rejected because when Mr. Alley submitted my review to the judge, he failed to submit the notarized documents that I had gone thru a lot of work to get, and then get to him personally, which proved my entire case. So obviously, in the judges eyes, we both looked ridiculous and I was rejected. When confronted, mr. Alley blamed it on the judge, saying that he was from another county, didn’t know what was going on, etc etc. well, isn’t it your job to make that argument for me? To tell him what’s been going on and provide the proof of it which I gave indirectly to him? Apparently, Mr alley did not think so. He was fired. No reimbursement for what I paid him to do. In this case, he didn’t even submit the legal work, or notarized documents that I personally got for him myself and provided to him personally, when he submitted my case to the judge for review. So, waste your money for him to waste your time if you’d like. I lost an entire year of time with my daughter when I was told it would be no longer than 30-40 days. And now I am still in the same predicament I was in from the beginning, all thanks to Mr. Alleys lack of care or competence to do what seems to be a very simple task. Honestly, I don’t even care about the money he swindled me out of. After I work my butt off to do what I have to do, my daughter is still being raised by someone else and has no clue where I am, and meanwhile my attorney is sitting around doing absolutely nothing for me besides dragging it out for a full year before getting my hearing for visitation rejected. this should be a -5 star review. And Mr. Alley owes me my money back. This law firm is nothing but crooks.

Thank you Robin once again. When we were told by another attorney our hope for a step parent adoption was impossible Robin made it happen. A year and a half of patience and determination was all it took and it was worth it 1000%. Keep in mind every court matter is unique. So take everyone's reviews with a grain of salt. If you lack patience coping skills or suffer from inflexibility and stubbornness you will not enjoy working with this firm. Robin doesn't hand hold or coddle his clients.

My divorce was an open and shut case and the defendant was pro se. Robin was able to make it possible to move across state lines with my son while my case was pending, handled my final divorce trial excellently and got the outcome i expected. To be honest my only critiques are that he could have been more reassuring throughout the case, and prompt with communication. Also his assistant is useless. If you are lacking in patience and coping skills, take this into consideration. The other reviews here are likely due to these. In hindsight, I would hire him again should the need arise.

I am forced to write this due to the lack of representation by G. Robin Alley. I've had no status on outstanding issues for 3 months. If Mr. Alley's services were based on results he would owe me. He refused to argue issues I wanted included in the appeal, he performed poorly in the hearing not able to answer a key question, and he could not write a compelling request for the Supreme Court to hear the case. Before you hire him he will tell you it is OK to work via email but his answers are usually call me. When you do his voice mail is usually full and he doesn't like to give set discussion times preferring to call whenever he feels like it, if your lucky to get a return call. He won't provide any evidence of his communications with the opposing attorney. He won't let you finish a statement without cutting you off, he doesn't listen to the question and repeats the same thing several times before you get your questions answered thus it takes 3 times longer to get through a conversation once you have one. If you see anything positive about him make sure it's not his father's information. He needs to stop practicing family law and concentrate on traffic tickets and tweeting on Twitter. Run don't walk away from G. Robin Alley.

Robin served as an attorney for a case in which someone stole my identity and pretended to be me. I have solid proof that I was at work in NC at the time of the hearing and he is refusing to get the order vacated. I am now forced to get an attorney to fight this when the matter could have been cleared up quickly. I am a victim of identity thief and this has to be a direct Violation of the legal system and I will fight to get my money back.
