Our History

In 2005, three attorneys had a vision to build the best personal injury firm in Ohio. With just three paralegals to support them, lawyers Gary Kisling, Rob Nestico, and Robert Redick rolled up their sleeves and opened the doors of their first office. A decade later, KNR has grown into one of the largest personal injury law firms in the state, with more than 30 lawyers, nearly 100 support staff, and 10 locations throughout Ohio dedicated to seeking justice for victims injured in accidents.

Our Ohio personal injury lawyers at KNR are passionate about helping you obtain the compensation you deserve after suffering injuries because of someone else’s negligence. We have obtained several multi-million dollar settlements and verdicts on behalf of injured people — but we fight just as hard for each person we represent, regardless of the size of your case. We’re also proud that our success as personal injury trial lawyers has helped create industry changes and promote safer roadways in Ohio.

$3,100,000 Settlement in Icy Road Truck Accident Recently, a 33-year-old truck driver who was the passenger in semi-truck when it slid off an icy road. As a result, our client suffered multiple traumatic injuries, including a brain injury that resulted in permanent memory loss and other balance and mobility related issues. KNR was able to overcome several legal issues and obtain a settlement that included payment of a $1,000,000 subrogation claim and $2.1 million in additional funds. The total settlement of $3,100,000 was the result of pre-suit negotiations and was essential in helping the driver get his life back in order without financial devastation. Individual results may vary based on the facts, injuries, jurisdiction, venue, witnesses, parties, and other factors.

$400,000 Settlement For Elderly Woman Injured In Stop Sign Accident Our client suffered a fractured knee and closed head injury when another driver pulled from a stop sign into our client’s path, causing a significant collision. Our client, who was in her 80’s at the time of the crash, had been previously living independently and caring for herself. However, as a result of her injuries, she was confined to a nursing home for an extended period of time. Subsequently, her physical and mental health rapidly declined. KNR filed a lawsuit to recover insurance proceeds from the at-fault driver. After depositions, court filings, and a mediation, the case was resolved for $400,000–providing payment of her medical bills and future care, in addition to pain and suffering from her injuries. Individual results may vary based on the facts, injuries, jurisdiction, venue, witnesses, parties, and other factors.

$75,000 Settlement For Passenger in a High-Speed Accident Our client was a passenger that was hit, at a high rate of speed, on a local highway. The defendant, who happened to be a plaintiff attorney, denied a sobriety test at the scene and her OVI was later dismissed. Liability was admitted for the accident, however, and while punitive damages were going to be bifurcated per the judge’s order, we nevertheless had the claim pending. Our client sustained neck and back injuries, including a herniated disc for which she underwent a discectomy. A primary issue in the case was her pre-existing DJD and the fact that the surgery occurred three years after the accident. The defendant IME report only attributed emergency room treatment and a few weeks of treatment thereafter as being related to the accident. A few weeks prior to trial, we mediated the case and it settled for $75,000. Individual results may vary based on the facts, injuries, jurisdiction, venue, witnesses, parties, and other factors.

$80,000 For Female T-boned at a Stop Sign Our client, a middle-aged female, was traveling down a rural road in Richland County when she was t-boned by a young driver who failed to stop at a stop sign. The impact caused both vehicles to leave the roadway and come to a rest in a nearby field. There was significant damage to both vehicles and loss of consciousness by our client, who was subsequently transported to the ER. The collision caused multiple abrasions, bruising, injury to her ear, dizziness, lightheadedness, vertigo, neck, back, temporary short-term memory loss, and nausea. Due to her injuries, she underwent multiple months of physical therapy. The other driver admitted to and accepted fault for the collision. The claim was resolved for $80,000. Individual results may vary based on the facts, injuries, jurisdiction, venue, witnesses, parties, and other factors.

Reviews

I was in a car accident last year with a well known company. After some hesitation about the situation I was advised to contact an accident lawyer and was referred to this specific law firm. They seemed enthusiastic about my case and were more than willing to help. On a side note :/ I did sign a contract (someone personally came to my residence) saying they would take approximately 30% of my settlement. Initially I was kept in the loop about "THE COMPANY AT FAULT TAKING FULL RESPONSIBILITY" ..getting frequent calls from the paralegal assigned to my case (Kryste). Then there was a discrepancy about a few of my medical records and ..crickets. I didn't hear from them for about 2 months, despite sending multiple emails. I ended up getting a random call which they did leave a voicemail stating that they were able to obtain all of my records. Which was followed by an email that they were (putting together my demand package) after being told things were wrapping up in April "24. They have inquired me about my case using 3 different paralegals. I'm honestly unsure who my actual attorney is...Wish me luck.

Website says they manage dental malpractice. Specifically says missed diagnoses of gum disease. Im helping a friend with that exact issue and they are in surgery to try an save teeth from falling out as result. The intake nurses say they only interested if catastrophic organ damage or death. Not at all as they advertise on thwir website. Big waste of time spent an hour with call centers trying to get to an attorney and never even got to one to speak about it. They dont actually handle dental malpractice cases whatsoever unless ur dealing with death or somehow ur tooth causes heart attack or something of sort. Dont bother calling them, at least for dental negligence. (It was a pretty open and shut case btw so not a measure Of the case merits)

I was in a car accident back in May of 2023. I was involved in a hit and run. As anyone who’s been in a car accident, you get multiple text messages or things in the mail regarding your accident. I didn’t bother calling any of them because the police couldn’t find the people who hit me. It wasn’t until months later, in August. That I decided to give KNR a call, what’s the worse that can happen? I call them and tell the what happened and they took on my case. I talked to Kryste and she was very nice and informing me on every step on my case. In December she informed me that they found the person who hit me and that they accepted responsibility. I was so happy. After they found the people who accepted fault, my case went to someone else. They were anything but informing. Every time I talked to her, it sounded like she just woke up. A couple more months go by and I received my check in late February, but not all of it. It wasn’t a lot and of course KNR took their 33%. I wanted to fire them because I felt like they shouldn’t be getting as much as I am, but they persuaded me to stay with them. I went in and signed my paperwork and it felt rushed. I was there no more than 15 minutes and after I was done, someone came in with a tablet asking if I can leave a 5 star review. I did, wish I didn’t and she gave me a $25 Panera gift card. I didn’t receive the entirety of my check and they gave me a timeframe in which I would receive my other portion. I still have not received anything. Not once have they called me willingly. I’ve been calling twice a week and nobody from my case answers. Even when I leave a message for a callback, they don’t get back to me. If there’s not an update on my case, just say that. These people are still on my case and they have not kept my updated. Not once have they called me willingly. I can’t change anything that happened, but after my case is closed and I receive what I am owed. I will not be choosing KNR for anything and will not recommend them to anyone.

Going through a case right now for a rear end collision it’s been almost a yr 4 different paralegals empty promises no communication I would never use them and I feel horrible for referring someone to them … if it changes I will change my review …. I’ve dealt with lawyers before and this is the worst experience ever seems like they do not care at all about anything but your stuck because they have a contract with you
