Attorney Mapes is completely overloaded and incompetent. Bankruptcy isn't supposed to be pleasant but these guys made it an ongoing nightmare for me. Poor communication, misrepresentation gave way to complete abandonment of my case. Avoid at all costs.

SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND ENERGY!!! GO FIND A DIFFERENT LAW OFFICE THAT CARES. Giving even one start is too generous, I'm wish I could write this review without including a star. First off I chose Mapes office because they were one of the first offices that popped up on google. After trying to reach them via landline I was unsuccessful, tried 2nd option by going to their website and clicking on their contact us. I was not contacted until the following day where Amanda Stauffer contacted me who seemed very professional and had specific instructions on the zoom meeting and the paperwork that needed to be completed prior to my meeting. With that impression that this law office would be professional and meticulous of handling a case I followed their instructions prior to meeting. Long story short I showed up to the zoom meeting 2 min early....5 min...10 min...15 min...20 min later Jeffrey Mapes no show. I called the office to see what is going on no answer left a message. Got a call back 3 min later from Amanda saying they needed to reschedule after I made arrangements for work to have an interrupted meeting with Jeffrey Mapes. Jeffrey Mapes get on the call to tell me that because I was disappointed on how they never showed up to my zoom meeting that they set up and the arrangements I had to make to attend this meeting uninterrupted he doesn't feel it would be a good fit to take the case. No apologies and not even an effort to try to help me out. Maybe I should have looked here first on how terrible this law office was prior to making arrangements.

Like most people I had no clue what to expect, setting up my appointment for the free consultation was a breeze. Upon arriving I was greeted as if they cared. When I met Jeff and Jeff they both walked me through everything and explained it in a way I 100% could understand. I am very grateful I chose Mapes-Law Offices.

Look elsewhere for help they will definitely take advantage of you during your time of distress I would recommend you stay far away from here. Hidden fees galore very unprofessional once they get majority of your payments. Only good thing about the office is Kendra the secretary. Robbed me blind for 2 grand and did absolutely nothing blamed it on covid lack of communication supposedly on my part and because according to them I didn't pay the last part of my fee which on more then one occasion I was told I had no balance due. Wouldn't be surprised if they were many more people out there that have gone through this same ordeal.

I went in to the Holland office about 6 months ago looking to fix some issues from when I had serious medical problems. I left the office with other possible better news, and was told I would be contacted within days. To this day I have been the only person making contact and keep being reassured that I will be contacted soon, but nothing... Update, after repeated attempts to contact Mapes they told me they were unable to retrieve the court paperwork, because they were not me, this was a lie as the court did not ask for identification or charge for the requested documents.
