Karen represented me in my divorce in 2017. She was extremely knowledgeable with family law and kept me updated throughout a very long, difficult, two year process. She was kind and very compassionate and quickly informed me of updates as they came up. My opinion-Karen was too busy moving firms, again, to make sure everything was correct. Some examples: *I never received my final JD in the mail. Who knows who has all my private information? *I had to go back to court because she didn't put a deadline on the largest asset -the QDRO -the judge even said how dangerous this was that I could have lost everything. *She wouldn't explain how she came up with the final numbers of me owning money to my ex who was so broke despite make 3 times the money.... I ended up giving him my savings I was going to live on after divorce. After divorce he traveled Europe for a month, bought new truck, house...but Karen wouldn't stand up to him in my opinion--evident in all of a sudden he has money right after divorce. *She wouldn't explain why my non-marital asset was moved to marital monies--without my knowledge or even the ex asking... all she said was "you came out ahead" which turned out far from the truth. Because of these and more mistakes I wanted a reduction. "No" she worked hard and she couldn't help that the ex was difficult to work with" Really? My ex is the only guy that has wasted marital monies, dwindled down his bank accounts right in front of us, could use gambling as a hobby excuse, didn't have report what happened to nearly a million dollars in stock proceeds... I ended up paying her over a year's worth of my salary for her to make mistakes and not be accountable in my opinion. Karen put judgement out on me -waited several years so she could collect thousands more in interest fees... Court records show that her husband, an attorney for a big bank, filed/paid --so much for attorney/client privacy. Funny how it took HOURS for me to close my US Bank account! She will work hard to make sure reviews are taken down -which defeats the whole purpose of me being able to tell my experience to warn others. (Are attorneys are privileged to not have truthful negative reviews? If only she would have worked that hard to be my advocate and double check her work. If she wasn't wrong why wouldn't she explain why she did what she did? Even more importantly why didn't she tell me what/why she moved numbers around before I signed the decree?) I will verify everything in this review if requested by Google!
