Best way to describe these offices is WOW. Clients are in the lap luxury with a great view of the Detroit/Windsor bridge
I hired a law firm to register a trademark, thinking it would be a good idea to have someone skilled and knowledgeable do it right the first time and avoid more fees down the road. I wish I had just registered the darn trademark myself... This firm is incompetent. nThe description of goods and services they drafted up and submitted to USPTO was rejected because it was inaccurate. I paid $1000 dollars to a "professional" firm and received amateurish work... But on top of that for creating this error they charged me an additional total $400 for all the "work" that it supposedly took them to fix it. For example: Responding to USPTO and accepting the revised description of goods and services: $210 for the 36 minutes that they say it took them to do so. I should mention that the new description was not written by the law firm. USPTO had suggested it as an alternative.nBut here's the best: When USPTO finally approved the trademark application, they send a notice of publication. My guess is, that a law firm who does trademarks on a regular basis will see this document rather frequently. But not only did it take them almost 15 minutes to review this document, Miller Cranfield also prices the review of this document at an outrageous $350 per hour!nI do not want to pay $350 an hour for coffee breaks, and especially not if the people I pay don't know much more than I know after browsing through the USPTO website.
