My troubles started with this company from my college days. They requested proof of a 60 day notice to vacate my apartment. Once I did as they asked, I never heard back from them or the apartment so I unfortunately assumed the case we sufficed. Fast forward 7 years and it's time to purchase a home. I was notified that in order to do so, I must first clear up this matter. I began doing this 2 months ago. I was directed to speak with either Kyla or Phil. After many unreturned voicemails and phone attempts to Kyla, I finally heard back from Phil who was helpful with the information and process to move forward. The follow-up from both was unprofessional and untimely. I finally explained my concerns to Jean and she was the only person in the office to follow-through in a timely and professional manner. The icing that topped the cake was when I came to pay the judgment off. Kyla was informed I was here to pay and left me waiting for 10 minutes in the lobby before she rudely greeted me. The entire encounter involving Kyla was unprofessional. She was rude and difficult to work with. I'd highly recommend companies to another office to handle your claims if this is their way of doing business. The company could've had this payment 2 months ago if it weren't for Peters & Steel LLC dragging their feet!

This law firm handled an eviction from an apartment complex that I lived at 6 years ago. I have exhausted all means of communication in an effort to find a solution to a judgment that was placed on me without my knowledge. I have left messages and been transferred too many times to count. Very unprofessional, and huge customer service issues. This is something that gets reported to the credit bureaus monthly and has permanent effects on my standard of living, and to have that kind of responsibility neglected speaks to the character of the firm, no matter which side you're on. Thanks for nothing.

They are very unprofessional....and as much as THEY stay on top of taking their money they drag their feet on making sure they collect it from the courts and send notification ASAP....I’ve had to babysit my entire situation to make sure things were getting done, between Peters & steel and the courts. It’s all a backwards process yet they have “certain days” when they go to the courts to pick up checks hence why things take so long. I have been dealing with Kyla and I’ve seen her name floating around and I see why. But in any event, I can not understand why if the court has confirmed the judgment has been satisfied and they have sent back over payments, why for the love of god the attorneys office can’t acknowledge that and move forward to make sure the employers are notified. But nooooo, they have to have the last check in hand before they make any moves. It’s not my fault they choose to drag their feet on getting the last payment. Sounds like they need a better system. It’s a waste of time to keep taking money that the court is gona have to return. Just unnecessary. The courts know it’s satisfied and Kyla knows it’s satisfied yet no one can do anything until they get the last check. It’s a crock of shyt and ridiculous.

As a property management company that has used these folks for many years, I can say that I'm happy with their service. All attorneys are hard to get ahold of. But Peters & Steele have a paralegal that does a good job of providing customer service. I interface directly with the attorneys at court and they are very professional and reasonable. They seem to have a good reputation with the courts and that counts for a lot.

Would be better if their CSRs could get their ability to understand together. Have to make multiple trips to Indiana because they misunderstood what I was asking because they're so money-hungry.
