In 1991, Randall M. Kessler founded the law firm now known as Kessler & Solomiany, LLC, a 30 person family law firm in Atlanta. He is the author of many family law books including Divorce: Protect Yourself, Your Kids and Your Future, The GA Library of Family Law Forms, and How to Mediate a Divorce. He is an adjunct professor of Family Law Litigation at Emory Law School. Mr. Kessler has served as the Chair of the Family Law Sections of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Bar Association. Mr. Kessler has represented some of the highest profile clients in the country including judges, national and local politicians, professional athletes, TV Stars and other celebrities, entertainers and artists. Born in Gainesville, Florida, raised in New Orleans and having attended college at Brandeis University near Boston, MA, Randall M. Kessler came to Georgia in 1985 to attend Emory Law School. He has over 35 years of experience in Domestic Relations and Family Law matters including divorce, custody, paternity, prenuptial agreements and child support. He founded KS Family Law in 1991 after practicing for years at other family law boutique firms. Mr. Kessler teaches family law jury trials at Emory Law School and taught Family Law at John Marshall Law School from 2005 – 2019. He has lectured for the ABA, AAML, AICPA, NACVA, IAAR, NFLPA, NBPA, the Georgia Psychological Association (GPA), the Georgia Society of CPAs, the Cobb, Gwinnett, DeKalb and Atlanta Bar Associations and others all over the country and in fact, all over the world. Mr. Kessler is the Editor Emeritus of the Family Law Review for the State Bar of Georgia. He is proficient in both Spanish and Hebrew.

Jim Powers is a seasoned Georgia divorce and family law attorney with over 10 years of trial and litigation experience. Jim earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law and began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in several Georgia judicial circuits. In this capacity, he prosecuted felony, domestic violence, and child protection cases, gaining substantial experience in high-stakes litigation and developing a comprehensive understanding of legal issues that frequently intersect with family law. Before joining Atlanta Divorce Law Group, Jim practiced at several prominent Atlanta law firms, representing clients in divorce, child custody, child support, and high-asset family law cases. Most recently, he served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Northeastern Judicial Circuit, further refining his trial advocacy and negotiation skills. Jim currently focuses his practice on guiding clients through complex family transitions with clarity, diligence, and practical advice. He is recognized for thorough preparation, direct communication, and a commitment to assisting clients in navigating challenging legal decisions with confidence and pragmatism. Outside his legal practice, Jim enjoys spending time with his 3 dogs, hiking, playing pool, and watching movies and television. Kristi Gibbs is a family law attorney with a unique professional background that informs every aspect of her practice. Before becoming an attorney, Kristi spent many years working in mental health counseling, developing skills that are particularly valuable in family law matters involving children and complex family dynamics. Kristi earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology and counseling from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, followed by a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of New Orleans. During her doctoral program, she minored in play therapy and later became a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor. Her doctoral research focused on how counselors are trained to counsel children, and her professional work included many years of counseling children and teaching play therapy—an approach that allows children to express emotions and experiences through play when they are not yet able to do so verbally. She later transitioned from counseling into the legal field, earning her Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law and admission to the State Bar of Georgia in 2020. She served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Appalachian Judicial Circuit, where she prosecuted juvenile cases and gained significant courtroom experience involving children and families. Mark began his career with a degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Dayton, where he developed a strong understanding of how technology and business intersect. After graduating in 1996, Mark joined the respected Atlanta IP firm Needle & Rosenberg, P.C., working on trademark and copyright litigation at a high level. Keren Barrios, originally from Guatemala City, embarked on a life-changing journey when she moved to the United States at the age of 10, following a harrowing 13-day kidnapping experience.
