Notable Work
Respondent: Attorney for the respondent, Dolores Villegas. Villegas is the aunt of Michelle McBride, heir to the estate of Michael Fausto. She appeals an order passed by the trial courts which allows her aunt, Villegas, to pursue a suit on a creditor's claim against the estate. She also request attorney fees on appeal. Upon review of the case and the claims made by the respondent, the court finds that Villegas' claim is inadequate. She failed to provide the information required by the state. As such the case was remanded to the trial court to enter a summary judgement in favor of McBride. McBride was also awarded attorney fees and costs on appeal.
