About George

George P. Vourvoulias III is a founding member of Harmon, Smith and Vourvoulias where he serves as the firm’s managing member.  Mr. Vourvoulias is a litigation attorney specializing in maritime personal injury, Jones Act and construction litigation.  He also represents clients in personal injury litigation, worker’s compensation claims and medical malpractice litigation. Prior to his work as a trial lawyer, Mr. Vourvoulias served as corporate and general counsel to a Louisiana offshore company and a Louisiana heavy construction company.

Mr. Vourvoulias received his Juris Doctorate from Gonzaga University School of Law in 1998.  He received his Masters Degree in Admiralty and Maritime Law from Tulane University in 1999.  George is admitted to practice in Louisiana and Illinois, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana and the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Additionally, and in connection with the real estate and other services offered through the firm’s partnership with Stone Title, Mr. Vourvoulias serves as a Notary Public and a title insurance agent/producer.
