Since 1998, Mr. Givens has practiced as an attorney and an accountant in Florence, Columbia, and Sumter, South Carolina. As an attorney, Mr. Givens has practiced in the areas of business law, nonprofit law, all types of taxation, estate planning, wills, trusts, probate administration and litigation and civil litigation.
Mr. Givens is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the State of South Carolina and the United States District Court. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Sumter County Bar Association.

I provide a full range of services to those planning for the future disposition of their assets (distribution planning) and to minimize or eliminate tax or other unfavorable consequences including probate fee avoidance by offering various types of wills, trusts, and other estate planning devices. I am an experienced and compassionate attorney who is available to assist Executors and Personal Representatives with estate and trust and probate administration and Probate Court proceedings and to assist business owners with their goals. I have two Masters in Taxation and many years of experience in handling individual, estate and business tax matters both as an attorney and a CPA. I have a Masters in Tax Law from Villanova and a Masters in Tax Accounting from USC. I have found my experience as a CPA and my knowledge from the two masters of taxation to be invaluable with estate planning, probate administration and working with businesses. I have legal experience in practicing with all different types of corporations, partnerships and LLCs as well as choice of entity matters. I believe that it is extremely important to gather client facts and discuss client goals and to communicate my opinion on those facts and goals before the client ultimately chooses the type of business entity.
Fee: Call today to learn more about my fee structure. Typically, I charge $125.00 an hour. Some larger projects such as trusts and probate administration require minimum retainers of $1,200.00. Some smaller projects such as powers of attorney are done for a flat fee of $125.00 only.
