Over 30 years of practice has given David the opportunity to be involved in some amazing cases, including taking depositions in Katmandu, Nepal in a complex criminal case in 1991; representing a witness in the trial of Timothy McVeigh (where David was also a credentialed reporter for the Intermountain Jewish News); handling criminal matters in Nebraska, Kansas and California and appearing in Washington State. David has been an expert witness for the Colorado Supreme Court Office of Regulation Counsel in the area of attorney fees for court appointed counsel.

Reuben A. Aguirre is a plaintiff-side litigator who represents employees and consumers in individual matters and class actions. He is admitted to practice in California and Colorado. Reuben began his legal career as an associate at two international law firms, where he focused on technology litigation, data privacy, and white collar government investigations. His early practice placed him on the defense side of significant civil and government matters involving major technology and Fortune 50 companies. He draws on that institutional perspective when advocating for current consumer and employee clients. He earned his J.D. from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, where he externed for a federal judge in the Northern District of Illinois, participated in the Supreme Court clinic, completed advanced trial advocacy coursework, and served as an editor of the Northwestern Journal of Law and Social Policy. He was a collegiate debater at the University of Denver. Before law school, he worked for Colorado Legal Services in its migrant farmworker division. Alan C. Shafner was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. He graduated from the University of Colorado with Distinction in 1975, and received his law degree from The Houston College of Law, Houston, Texas in 1978. After graduating from law school, Alan was a trial attorney for the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office in Golden, Colorado from 1979 through June 1983. During this time, Alan was the lead prosecutor on several high profile felony cases, including murder and sexual assault cases.
