Charles Gowland is the Managing Attorney in the firm’s Louisiana office and is licensed in North Carolina as well. He focuses his practice on first-party property insurance litigation, including commercial and residential property claims. Prior to joining the firm, Charles spent more than 25 years in various roles relating to insurance claims and litigation, with a particular focus on property insurance. He previously served as Vice President and General Counsel for the Claims Department of a national insurance company overseeing all P&C claims litigation for the entire country, and as Chief Counsel to the Division of Insurance Fraud for the State of Florida’s Department of Financial Services. He has also worked for several years at law firms both defending insurance companies and, for the past 4 years, assisting homeowners and commercial property owners in their first-party claims against insurance companies.

Born and raised in Miami Florida, Daniel Frank Lopez is the Managing Partner at The Morgan Law Group, whose primary practice focuses on first-party insurance litigation. Since 2012, Mr. Lopez has been with The Morgan Law Group focusing on his first-party insurance property disputes, which ranges in matters from typical homeowner insurance disputes to multi-million dollar commercial property claims. Mr. Lopez also oversees and litigates a wide variety of matters, including complex commercial litigation, construction litigation, insurance and professional liability matters.

Lori has a passion for helping those in need who cannot speak or stand up for themselves. After graduating with a bachelor’s in psychology, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Central Florida she made the decision to obtain her master’s degree in social work to help the most vulnerable population- children. After working with high-risk children and adolescents for several years, she decided to return to school and obtain her law degree at Florida State University, where she graduated With Honors in 2005. Since 2005, Lori has represented both Plaintiffs and Defendants in many areas of law including personal injury, employment law, and contract disputes. Prior to joining MLG, Lori was a partner at a small law insurance defense firm and a Litigation Manager for a plaintiff’s personal injury law firm. The majority of Lori’s spare time is spent on the soccer field watching her two boys play soccer. She also enjoys cooking, baking, and traveling with her husband and two boys. Lori is an avid animal lover and has five fur children (three dogs and two cats).

Andres Alfonso, a Bogota, Colombia native who was raised in Miami, is a dedicated first-party property insurance attorney in our Miami office. Andres’s educational journey began at Doral Academy Preparatory, where he excelled in both academics and sports, specifically five years of Varsity soccer. Subsequently, he pursued higher education at Spring Hill College, where he showcased his soccer prowess as a Division II athlete for all four years. Throughout his undergraduate years, Andres actively engaged in community service initiatives, such as tutoring underprivileged students and teaching English to immigrants, reflecting his deep commitment to social impact. He also played a vital role in a program called “Belong,” where he assisted Central Immigrants in navigating the challenging landscape of being undocumented immigrants in Alabama. Furthermore, Andres displayed exceptional leadership as the Fundraising Chair for the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, successfully raising over $10,000.00 for St. Jude Children’s Hospital. His dedication to philanthropy and community outreach exemplifies his compassionate nature and strong sense of social responsibility. After earning his undergraduate degree, Andres opted to take a two-year gap to explore life beyond the confines of academia. His childhood dream of becoming an attorney stemmed from a profound appreciation for the profession’s professionalism and elegance, and he has since made significant strides towards realizing that dream. Outside of his professional pursuits, Andres finds joy in staying physically active through regular workouts, cherishing quality time with his family, and indulging in the enchanting world of Harry Potter by watching the iconic film series.

Attorney Thomas J. Morgan Sr. was admitted to the Florida Bar Association in 1970 and has spent the years honing and perfecting his legal skills. David K. McGill was born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in Dayton, Ohio. Mr. McGill specializes in Entertainment Law, Business Affairs and Consulting. His global entertainment services include but not limited to record label development, artist development, drafting and negotiation of entertainment contracts, digital and mobile music content, copyright, and trademark. Mr. McGill has been active in the entertainment industry since 1996. Mr. McGill also focuses on foreclosure defense law and labor and employment law, stemming from race discrimination, race harassment, sexual harassment, and wrongful termination. Mr. McGill is a graduate of University of Miami Law School. During his law school years, Mr. McGill was a recipient of the Dean's Scholarship, served as VP of International Moot Court and was a member of the Entertainment Sports Law Society, and Black Law Student Association. Mr. McGill received his undergraduate degree from Thomas More College (B.A. Management Info Systems, Cum Laude) and his M.B.A. from Xavier University (Business Entrepreneurship) David McGill's professional affiliations include the Entertainment and Sports Law section of the Florida Bar, American Bar Association, Dade County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., and the Wilkie D. Ferguson Jr. Bar Association. Mr. McGill is also active in the community and volunteers as a mentor and legal consultant to inner city youth.

A. Antonio Tomas is a Board Certified Tax Lawyer, Board Certified Criminal Trial Lawyer and a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Tomas's practice focuses on two main areas: Tax Law and Criminal Law.
