Eric G. Patt has a broad-based transactional practice, with a focus on contracts, business acquisition, real estate, and employment-related issues. He also has extensive experience representing municipal governing bodies in the Chicago area, and in counseling their various boards and commissions in municipal law and land use issues. Additionally, Eric has extensive litigation experience, having conducted numerous bench and jury trials in state and federal courts, with substantial appellate experience. Eric is Chair of the Firm’s Municipal Law Practice Group and is actively involved in all aspects of RD’s municipal client representation. He also is the author of Chapter 9: “Representing a Home Rule Municipality” for IICLE’s Municipal Law: Contracts, Litigation, and Home Rule, 2024 and 2020 Editions.

Lee Poteracki concentrates his practice on transactional matters such as business acquisition and sale, entity choice and formation, and commercial real estate transactions as well as leasing of commercial premises. He also counsels on estate planning and administration of trusts and estates, including not only straightforward distributions but also the disposition or succession to ownership of family business interests owned by the trusts or estates of entrepreneurs.

Carol Sales concentrates her practice in bankruptcy, insolvency matters, and commercial litigation. She has approximately 20 years of experience representing a wide variety of clients in all stages of litigation. Carol has also represented debtors, creditors, and parties in interest in numerous Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases for individuals and businesses. She takes a personalized approach to counseling clients to achieve their goals in a cost-effective manner. Carol has been recognized as a Law Bulletin Media Leading Lawyer from 2021 to the present and Emerging Lawyer from 2018 to 2020 in the practices of Bankruptcy/Workouts and Business Litigation across the Chicagoland area. She co-authored the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education’s (IICLE) chapters on the Small Business Reorganization Act of 2019; Representing Clients in Bankruptcy Cases; Chapter 11 Cases for Individuals and Small Business Debtors; Mechanics Liens in Bankruptcy; and Filing a Chapter 7 Petition and Exemptions. She obtained her J.D. cum laude from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. During law school, Carol was a lead articles editor for the John Marshall Law Review and a Distinguished Scholar Award recipient. She worked as an extern in the Circuit Court of Cook County for various judges hearing foreclosure cases and received an LL.M. in real estate law, with honors. Carol has been recognized as a 2026 honoree for Thomson Reuters’ Super Lawyers® List. This is Attorney Sale’s third year receiving this honor. She also was selected as a honoree for Crain’s Chicago Business 2024 Notable Women of Law.

Ronak joined Parikh Law Group as an attorney in 2015. Since joining, Ronak has closed over four thousand real estate and business transactions and serves as the lead real estate attorney for the firm. Prior to joining PLG, Ronak attended the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign where he obtained a B.A. in Economics. He went on to attend law school at Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated in 2013. Soon after graduating Ronak worked in-house at a mid-sized company in Schaumburg, advising on various corporate and contractual matters. As a real estate attorney, Ronak specializes his practice in residential and commercial real estate transactions. Stephen Donnelly has been an attorney at PLG since 2011. He specializes in commercial litigation and has extensive experience as lead counsel in bench and jury trials, arbitrations, and mediations. He has successfully conducted contested evidentiary hearings and dispositive motions, representing clients in AAA, Illinois state courts, the Northern District of Illinois, the Southern District of Illinois, as well as through the appellate process. Beyond litigation, Stephen advises on business strategy, contract negotiations, and development at all stages. Kapil joined Parikh Law Group, LLC as an attorney in November 2017. Since joining Parikh Law Group, Kapil has handled a wide range of matters including real estate law (residential and commercial), transactional work and various litigation matters. Since 2020, Kapil has mainly practiced real estate law and transactional work. Kapil has represented numerous buyers and sellers on both residential and commercial real estate transactions. The experience, knowledge and skills he has attained over the years has translated into Kapil being able to provide our clients with thorough legal advice and guidance on their individual matters. Stephanie Dy joined PLG in 2022 as an immigration attorney. She was admitted to the New York State bar in 2006, and handles employment-based and family-sponsored immigration cases. Prior to joining PLG, Stephanie was part of a small immigration firm in downtown Chicago, owned and operated her own independent law practice, and served as in-house immigration counsel to a professional healthcare provider operating across US. In the latter role as in-house counsel, she collaborated with other lawyers across the country in civil, contract, labor, regulatory, litigation and tax matters. In her earlier career, Stephanie was a litigator in a leading law firm in the Philippines, and a lecturer in business and tax laws at a prominent women’s college in Manila. Throughout her career, Stephanie has focused on obtaining the best outcomes for her clients, and brings this same dedication combined with years of experience to our firm. She is the consultant for immigration matters for a community center located in the heart of Chicago’s Chinatown, where she assists clients from different walks of life with their immigration matters. Stephanie received her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of the Philippines, and an LLM from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. She is a native speaker of Chinese Hokkien and Tagalog, with working fluency in Chinese Mandarin and Cebuano. In her free time, Stephanie dabbles in music, etegami painting, photography, and a passion for art and architecture.
