David P. Friedrich joined the firm in 1990 following graduation from the Indiana University School of Law (Indianapolis). In reality, he had been part of the firm for nearly as long as he could remember—his father was the longtime claims superintendent for one of the firm’s clients and David regularly spent time at the firm while growing up. Like colleagues in the firm, David’s passion is trying lawsuits and had handled more than 100 jury trials by his 40th birthday in cases ranging from personal injury to bad faith defense and products liability. Although he concentrates his practice in litigation, he has a general practice representing public housing clients and handles matters ranging from business representation to family law and probate. He completed undergraduate studies at Butler University, from which he graduated cum laude in 1987. His community service includes service on the boards of Wabash Valley Crimestoppers, United Cerebral Palsy, Wabash Valley Goodwill Industries, Riley Recreation League and the District 7 Pro Bono Corporation. He devotes part of his practice to pro bono work for the indigent and was recognized for his outstanding volunteer service by the Terre Haute Bar Association and the Indiana State Bar Association. David is also a former member of the Board of Directors of the Indiana Pro Bono Commission.David’s hobbies include running, reading, golf and coaching youth sports. He and his wife, Janet, have two children, Ryan and Erin.

Jeffrey R. Kooi is the founding member of Kooi Law. Attorney Kooi has accumulated numerous accolades during his twenty-year career representing injury victims. Todd C. Barsumian has been named a Super Lawyer in the field of Plaintiff's Personal Injury by Super Lawyers Magazine since 2018. In 2017 he became the recipient of America's Top 100 Attorneys Lifetime Achievement Award. Prior to turning 40, he was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers on multiple occasions. Todd started his legal career at a large Evansville law firm, where he was a litigation partner typically hired to defend claims brought by the injured, including multiple cases that made it to the Indiana Supreme Court. In 2010, he started Barsumian Law. In 2013, Todd returned to his roots, opening an office in his hometown of Newburgh. Since 2000, Todd has also been licensed in Kentucky, where he has handled cases from trial courts up to the Kentucky Supreme Court. After settling the case with the other driver’s insurance company, Todd and his co-counsel turned to his client’s own insurance company. When the insurer balked at paying much more than the man's medical expenses, they took the case to trial in Princeton and recovered their client’s full policy limits, roughly twice what had been offered. Todd has served as the Chair of Medical Review Panels in the past, but now represents victims of medical malpractice before the Indiana Department of Insurance and in courts in Indiana and Kentucky. He also routinely handles serious injuries caused by car accidents, truck accidents, slip and falls, and nursing home negligence, as well as wrongful death claims.

Joshua Robertson concentrates in the areas of real estate litigation, business litigation, criminal defense and personal injury litigation in both state and federal court. Mr. Robertson received his Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University - Bloomington in 1996. He attended Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis, earning his Juris Doctorate in 2001. While in law school, Mr. Robertson earned several scholarships through the law school's Program in International Human Rights Law whereby he served internships with a human rights organization in Kathmandu, Nepal and with the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. Mr. Robertson joined Cohen Garelick & Glazier in May 2005 after practicing in Johnson County, Indiana for several years.
